If my Madden knowledge serves me correctly Rocca is one of the taller, if not tallest, punters in the NFL.

Lotus 08-04-2011, 11:01 AM I've been thinking that there must be some way for Danny to pull some strings (perhaps with $$) to expedite this visa. CRedskinsRule 08-04-2011, 11:03 AM Well, ya gotta wonder if the visa issue cropped up and Philly knew it would be trouble, so they didn't re-sign him. Odd that he worked for years over here and now he can't get a visa. Longtimefan 08-04-2011, 12:41 PM Sav Rocca should 'find an American wife', says Redskins coach. Of course Shanahan was just joking because Rocca is a married man with two young sons. You can't blame Shanahan for pulling out all the stops though. Given the current state of the teams offense, a punter could be the team's most valuable player. There are currently three other Australian punters in the NFL. Ben Graham, Cardinals, Mat McBriar, Cowboys and Chris Bryan, NY Jets. Wonder if their visa status/s are less complicated.....do they (if married) have Australian or American wives? mooby 08-04-2011, 01:07 PM I think McBriar's is probably less complicated. He's lived in the US since he came here with his parents before he went to college at Hawaii. He's probably been here long enough that he doesn't need one anymore. Plus I think he met his wife at Hawaii, so odds are she's a US resident so he doesn't need one. Rocca is different, since he lived in Australia until he got a job playing for the Eagles 4 years ago. But as long as they keep their jobs they have no visa complications, wife or not. The problem with Rocca is that he became unemployed when he was cut, a condition which voids his work visa. Too bad he choked in the swinging gate though. aShIyeYlS4s tomsawyer 08-04-2011, 03:08 PM that was about the highlight of the year for us. Dirtbag59 08-04-2011, 03:12 PM If this guy isn't willing to pass through the most dangerous parts of Mexico, hop on trains, scale the Rio Grande, and hitchhike to Ashburn, well suffice to say I don't want him here. Stay on your stupid Penal colony. musicmaster45 08-04-2011, 03:25 PM I loved this game. Best friend is a huge broncos fan. showed up to school the next day sining hail to the redskins. he promptly punched me |
