And the Redskins have now exceeded the CBA requirement for cash spent in the 2011 season, doing so with 30+ million of deadcap.

The Redskins need to keep all of these players till their contracts expire, at least a very high portion of them. Having dead cap year after year is a drag and just leads to more dead cap because you have to keep giving high signing bonuses to get above the cash spent minimum floor. Lets just ride everyone we have for 5 years and see where we get.

It's more like 65%-70% isn't it? Certainly not every play, but the vast majority of first and second downs.Majority of first downs. If our run D is solid, greater than 50% of 2nd downs should be passing downs. This doesn't consider 2 min & 4 min offense. My percentages are close to actual.

I don't think we can predict any percentages yet. Last year we did not have proper 3-4 personnel so we can't base anything on 2010.

And I thought bolstering the D-line would make people happy.

I can't wait to see the joy when we start signing some O-lineman.

Sound, quality personnel moves getting younger and more talented that do not break the bank............Go figure...........

Former Cowboys usually end up as disasters for us no matter how hard we try. Hopefully, the guy is a break from that trend.

Gotta say im surprised. I had a pretty negative knee jerk reaction at first, but after thinking bout it more starting think this may be better than acquiring Jenkins. Thats still alot of money for guy who hasnt done alot, but obviously Dallas seems pretty devastated bout losing him, much more than Giants were then about losing Cofield. Hopefully his potential will grow into that contract. HTTR

What Shanahallen are doing is creating competition for positions. For too many years players were paid into roles on this team and our results are clearly evident of such. Of the signings we've made thusfar, I don't know that any of them scream 'immediate starter'. We went from having depth that didn't want to be here (Haynesworth), was injured (Kemo) or should have been retired (Daniels) to younger, more athletic, enthusiastic players. HOW IS THIS A BAD THING?

Because we asked for it ! Don't you understand ? If we are given what we asked for then we must complain ! Come on Pain, I thought you would know this by now...tisk tisk tisk :cool-smil Just blaze up and enjoy the confusion :food-smil

I just hope we have enough left to sign a quality offensive lineman.

Ditto. Are we addressing the O line at all?? We need some serious help there and it seems like nothing is in the works. Any word on anyone??

Cullen could be headed to Dallas now.

Who called this? Someone here did a while back I think.

I know one of my sources (a former scout, but not Dan Shonka) called it in April. But honestly, he's such a terrible source (wrong 3 out of 4 times) that I totally disregarded it
