What position did he play. Must have been inside linebacker
I think so... I'd have to check but I definitely remember seeing him out there, and he wasn't listed as having not played.

Yeah, I did not see him do anything and have not heard much about him in training camp. He was the training camp darling last year

Interesting tidbit about James Davis.
Chris Russell
Sources tell ESPN-980 that #Redskins RB James Davis left a team meeting/film session last night (unexcused) after getting in to an arguement w/ a coach about lack of playing time/reps. He is still MIA.

No sense of staying around trying to earn a spot if they aren't going to give reps/time to show them if you can or not.

Davis was complaining about playing time last week, and he didn't limit voicing his complaint to just the coaches, or keep it in the locker room.
It's time for him to go

Yup. He wasn't gonna make the team and was probably a long shot to make the practice squad.
At least now we can pick up another camp body at WR. We're running a little thin there.

When will these kids learn that the coaches around the league want team players. If you are considered a team player your career will last longer then your talent would warrant. If you are not a team player then teams will find a way to dump you the moment your talent starts to dip (See Randy Moss).
Still theres always guys like Davis that come into the NFL and get a dose of culture shock, or whatever you want to call it. Guy has been the man since at least high school (ranked 6th RB in the nation after his senior year).
Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com,[1] Davis was listed as the No. 6 running back prospect in the nation in the class of 2005.[2] He chose Clemson over Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.
[edit]
Then he became the big man on campus for four years at Clemson. Now he's in the NFL going from team to team in a place where he currently appears to be 6th on the depth chart. Maybe 7th if you put Williams back at RB. Big adjustment for a guy who was "the man" for such a long time.
He had no shot here anyway. See ya.
