Ruhskins 08-01-2011, 01:38 PM A 2nd or 3rd and a "pro bowl caliber player" was the last I'd heard Damn, that's a lot. The only think that I could think of is a 3rd and Cooley. But that would suck. I think that price is too high. The ESPN980 guys threw Dixon's name around as they discussed QBs (from Pittsburgh). NC_Skins 08-01-2011, 01:41 PM A 2nd or 3rd and a "pro bowl caliber player" was the last I'd heard After that fiasco last year, I'd drive to D.C. myself and slap the shit out of Shanny if he made such a stupid trade again. Defensewins 08-01-2011, 01:43 PM Damn, that's a lot. The only think that I could think of is a 3rd and Cooley. But that would suck. I think that price is too high. The ESPN980 guys threw Dixon's name around as they discussed QBs (from Pittsburgh). That asking price is awfully high for Orton, but I would think Denver would consider taking less if the market dries up for Orton. Orton would be an improvement over Rex/Beck. An entire season of Rex/Beck would spell sub .500 season for sure. Rex is a turnover machine. Small hands. I don't like him. Orton is well respected by his peers. Orton has been productive everywhere he has played. He fits the proven NFL caliber QB more then our Rex/Beck. Ruhskins 08-01-2011, 01:45 PM After that fiasco last year, I'd drive to D.C. myself and slap the shit out of Shanny if he made such a stupid trade again. I hate to say this, but I feel that the McNabb trade was a different situation. He was on his way to being washed up and was on his way out in Philly since everyone was getting enamored with Kolb. The fact that they were willing to trade him to a division rival should have been a red flag. Orton played in a team that was beaten up and left for dead by Son of Hoody (a.k.a. McDaniels). And I think he could be a good QB for a team. Now, I don't think Orton is worth a 2nd rounder, but I'd happily trade for him for a 3rd and a late draft pick. ragin98 08-01-2011, 01:59 PM 2nd round pick would def put a hurtin on the team for a while. tomsawyer 08-01-2011, 02:25 PM Broncos owe him 9 mill.i don't think they'll pay that for a back up to tebow, does anyone else? Ruhskins 08-01-2011, 02:30 PM Broncos owe him 9 mill.i don't think they'll pay that for a back up to tebow, does anyone else? Orton was apparently taking reps with the first team in camp for what that is worth. artmonkforhallofamein07 08-01-2011, 02:37 PM I'd give a third for the guy. He is far and away better than onyone we have, and to be honest is a good winning QB. You can't deny his record in the NFL either. He is a winner, and a much better prospect than even DM last year. I am torn on the report, part of me wants to go with what we have and hope that MS has seen something in Beck that will translate into a winning QB in the NFL. BUT part of me wants to bring in a proven NFL QB. A guy who has thrown 41tds in 2 years is something we have not seen in B&G in a long time. Monkeydad 08-01-2011, 02:55 PM Orton will be Denver's starter Week 1. If it's a fair competition, he'll beat out Tebow. Brady Quinn...ha... When the team has 2 wins (if they're lucky) around the mid-way point of the season, Tebow will be back and probably for good. |
