The coaches need to realize that competition is beneficial to a point. The competition they tried to create at Receiver is ridiculous not to mention it could easily be counterproductive. Less reps, less coaching, and the chance that a diamond in the rough could be cut because they aren't a practice player like Jacobs. It's like setting a goal thats only technically obtainable, like 'winning more then a free ticket in the lottery.'

Smart post.

With 90 guys going to camp, there's going to be competition everywhere.

I hear we're in serious negotiations to add (direct quote via text) "Major acquisitions at offensive line and corner back...you guys think you're done. You haven't even started"

Which, based on my Jayson Werth like batting average this past week, means we're adding a running back and a linebacker.

Im gonna say Dahl and Cromartie BUT.....based on our history, I wouldnt be surprised if its Asomugha

I fully exespect a starting Falcons Lineman signed to be in a Redskins Jersey today.

Dahl would be nice.

Re-sign J. Brown and the OL is ready to rock.

I want:

Guard:
Harvey Dahl AND/or Brian Waters (just released by KC)

Corner:
Cromartie or Clements (unless Nnamdi is possible!)

Honestly, I'd rather get Cromartie for less money and get better O-linemen with that cash. D-Hall and Cromartie (or Clements) with Josh Wilson as nickel back and first backup...great CB squad. Also Barnes is on the bench too but I really like him better as a FS backup.

I hope we will get those players in bold

I say get Dahl AND Waters. Waters is 34 but still good. Quality depth is important, especially with how injuries have been rocking our O-line for the past few years.

Williams - Waters - Chester - Dahl - Brown

^Awesome line!

Another possibility is RT Ryan Harris from Denver, who has played for Shanny before. If you notice most of the moves being made league-wide...most players changing teams are reuniting with old coaches and coordinators since there is no time to learn a new system due to the lockout.

I'd love to get Jammal Brown back but if we don't, Harris is the best route.

Yeah Buchanon is an okay, if unspectacular player. I could easily see Wilson being an upgrade over him.

Buchanon played way above expectations last year IMO. GTripp said that PB probably had the best year he could & likely couldn't duplicate that again. I agree w/that. He is still a good 3rd cb, reminds me of Walt Harris' late in his career when he filled in nicely for us.
