Redskins sign QB Kellen ClemensAlvin Walton 07-27-2011, 02:00 PM Yes, because: look at your calendar. SOUL-SKINS 07-27-2011, 02:16 PM
Thank YOU!!! Numbers growing daily.[/QUOT Add me to the list Slingin Sammy 33 07-27-2011, 02:21 PM To me, this signing says more about the Redskins plan to rebuild the QB position than it does about Kellen Clemens. Kellen Clemens, Matt Leinart, and John Beck all have something in common. They were all top two round picks. They all had really good predictive college statistics. They all can be acquired at bargain basement prices (I think Leinart is not coming here because there's actually a market for him). Basically, the Shanahan's are making a bet that the market missed on a QB drafted between 2006-2008 and they can find himAgreed. I'd rather have Clemens, Beck, Leinart under C in 2011 than any QB that was drafted this year. To all those that are complaining about our QB situation....There is no franchise QB ripe on the franchise QB tree at Redskins Park. We gambled on McNabb, it didn't pan out. We're going to have a journeyman QB unless one of these guys steps up or we get one in the 2012 draft. Be patient, like it or not, we're rebuilding. There aren't any other options at QB out there that don't break the bank or require multiple top draft picks to get. SkinzWin 07-27-2011, 02:28 PM
Thank YOU!!! You'd think with the events of last year, you'd realize that's not the right route to go. It rarely ever is. mredskins 07-27-2011, 02:38 PM And as soon as I make that apart of my sig, it looks like I'm going to have to remove it. According to Leinart's wiki page he is with Seattle now. "NFL Network's Michelle Beisner reports trade talks between the Broncos and Dolphins are getting "serious," and a deal could be reached within six hours. Just minutes before, the Miami Herald reported that Orton remained interested in restructuring to stay in Denver, which hardly seems credible. Orton isn't going to accept the long-term No. 2 job behind Tim Tebow when he could land a starting gig elsewhere. Expect to see Orton to the Dolphins in exchange for something in the neighborhood of a third-round pick. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports both teams "would like" to make the Orton trade happen." mredskins 07-27-2011, 02:41 PM "NFL Network's Michelle Beisner reports trade talks between the Broncos and Dolphins are getting "serious," and a deal could be reached within six hours.
