Not the same thing really, but whatever
I realize its not about media influencing players joining or not joining a team. But I thought it was quasi relevant.
About the long ball, I thought people said he was throwing up dead ducks in camp on the long ball?

His long ball's problem has been accuracy. Overthrowing his receivers and stuff.
But Matt Schaub only averaged 3 long balls(passes that traveled 20+ yards) a game in Kyle Shanahan's last season with the Texans.
Also, if you stack the box, it's to stop the run, not the pass. The intermediate passes(around 15 yards) will be there.

Not saying it's eat crow time... but for some it's at least time to take a good whiff of what John Beck is cookin'. You know who you are.
LOL
It's always neat to check out what people say both before and after. I was just looking at some of the earlier post in this thread (and others) comparing what was being said about Beck before he played 1/2 of a preseason game and what's being said now. Someone said I reserve the right to change my mind.
Well maybe if the mind was not so prematurely made up, a change would not be necessary.

NFL.com news: Beck shows command of 'Skins system; Browns' McCoy sharp (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8219a2b2/article/beck-shows-command-of-skins-system-browns-mccoy-sharp?module=HP11_content_stream)
» John Beck could be an effective starting quarterback for the Redskins. The fifth-year pro was exceptional directing the first-team offense against the Colts. He showed an excellent command of the system, completing 14 of 17 attempts for 140 yards and leading the Redskins to scores on each of his four possessions. Beck frequently located his second and third reads in his progressions. His pocket awareness, anticipation and accuracy were better than anticipated, and he also flashed enough athleticism to be a credible threat on the perimeter. Granted, the effectiveness of the Redskins' run game -- Tim Hightower and Roy Helu combined for 171 yards on 20 carries -- allowed Beck to work comfortably off play-action fakes inside and outside of the pocket. Given his superb execution and production during his first appearance as the starter, it is easy to see why Mike Shanahan is willing to stake his reputation on the unheralded Beck."

Hmm, this Bucky Brooks guy seems to be a good reporter, unlike that JLC fellow.
