What the hell do you want the guy to say "We will stick him in there and hope we get lucky and that he is better then people think".

The "John Beck is Doomed" Club is down the hall and to your right. Better hurry to catch a seat as it's already filling up. GMScud 08-02-2011, 03:01 PM He's sticking his neck out for him because he believes he can play. If Shanahan showed one thing last year, it's he's not a good liar. So I tend to believe he's serious about Beck, and KS was also a big fan of Beck prior to him coming here. Crazier things have happened. Not sure why so many refuse to believe he could actually be a decent starter. Well, it doesn't help that he hasn't taken a regular season snap since Joe Gibbs was our head coach. Sure there's a chance he could be a Tony Romo or Trent Green, but don't you just get the feeling that if it was going to happen for him, it would have already? sportscurmudgeon 08-02-2011, 03:07 PM What the hell do you want the guy to say "We will stick him in there and hope we get lucky and that he is better then people think". Of course he would never say that - - but it would be a refreshing change of pace to hear it once in a while. Ken Whisenhunt might have said it last year with the Derek Anderson/MaxHall/John Skelton tandem last year - - excpet he could have included all three in that statement. He hasn't had the chance for it to happen. Now's his chance. GMScud 08-02-2011, 03:11 PM He hasn't had the chance for it to happen. Now's his chance. Now's his chance to compete for a starting job anyway. And I don't think he'll win that competition. tomsawyer 08-02-2011, 03:29 PM as bad as grossman has been,he did play pretty well when the bears got to the super bowl, did'nt he? i know you guys here are stat freaks and will look that up which is why i mentioned it.i thought he made the pro bowl there one season, but i'm getting old so.... CultBrennan59 08-02-2011, 03:43 PM Does anyone have a pic of Becks Wife, I hear shes really hot Longtimefan 08-02-2011, 03:57 PM Now's his chance to compete for a starting job anyway.
