Seems like allot of open practices or is this normal?

I would guess teams around the league may have more open practices this year to help smooth over some of the bad feelings with the fans from the lockout.

This got me wondering about our preseason and how much practice our 12 rookies are gonna get for each game. Heres the schedule:
