Gibb's is starting to scare me with his simpletin aproach to offense, you would think the football was made of plutonium, he should take the football and burry it in the ground everytime we have it to make sure nothing happen's to it, it look's like to me we don't run any crossing routes, that is the best kind of route for Coles where he can cut on a dime and seperate like he did on that final play before the missed field goal, we also never run the ball on third down we had a third and inches and he's throwing a quick out parellel to the line of scrimmage with all the LB's up to stop the run talk about playing into the defenses hand. Then when we have a chance to ice the game we are running Bett's into a wall with the Boy's overcommiting to the run daring us to throw so what does he do? He run's it and hand's it right back to the cowboy's, the 1 time you would like to throw he play's right into the defenses hand, it's obvious Gibb's no longer know's how to win he is just hanging on trying not to lose! Gibb's THE UGLY!

Portis had another stellar effort today he's nothing more than a primadonna RB, he want's gapping holes, and open field's to run in, or he cower's into his little shell to scared to run hard and take some hit's and head's to the sidelines with a big time bruised shoulder, I have a bigger bruise on my forehead from smacking it everytime I watch him carry the ball, as I said when we traded for him if Bett's ran in that Denver system he would rack up 1500 yard's every year as well he defiently hit's the holes harder, and faster than Portis, and he can get the extra yard. Portis THE BAD!

The defense good as alway's I don't care if they were burned on that last play they shouldn't even have been put in that position. It look's like we finally have a return man, Brown looked very good he's quick as the dickens :laughing- we are finally getting field position, I can live with the fumble his upside greatly outway's 1 turnover besides we can alway's cut a new guy some slack, I am actually glad we lost we were out of the playoff's regardless I would give our defense an extra day off for keeping us in the top 5 in the next draft. [I know some of you will call me a trader for that, but trust me you will applaud that TD on draft day, think long term and how much fun we will all have decieding which no talent Gibb's gives it up for, my money is on Arch Stanton:biggthump] Defense, and special's, THE GOOD!

P.S. If I hear Gibb's say how we fight our gut's out 1 more time I am going to shoot my ear's off, perhap's he should take his own advice and start fighting himself instead of this retreat style offense he run's. :banghead:

Offiss, this was a really courageous thread. You really typed your guts out. I'm proud of the way you fought through all the adversity and put this up online.

LOL!!

I agree with bits and peices but the one thing I will get into is Clinton Portis. I dont think hes a premadonna RB, and when I watch him, I see him running hard, and when hes not running I see him throwing blocks. The guys is a football player! Now, I deifntley think Betts has shown me enough this season, so warrent a look, and maybe some extra playing time. Rest assured though, Portis is our biggest offensive weapon, and the most athletic football player we have (except maybe Coles) on offense. We have to find better ways to get him the ball.

Yea he's throwing block's maybe after INT's. :laughing2 50 mil for a 200lbs blocking back. :Flush:

Offiss believe me you are not the only one who thinks like that. Portis has done nothing at all if you think about it. His inaptitude of getting a yard boggels my mind. He has had only one breakaway TD this year and that was the first game of the year. As far as Gibbs goes I think he can only do what he has around him. Coles is not 100% healthy and Ramsey just showed why I'm not completely sold on him. Just another losing season for the Boys in D.C. that play in MD.

can we please leave cp alone he's the best back we have and one of the top five running backs in the league. I will be honest he's one of the reasons i'm so loyal to them now. He and sean t are my favorites. Without him it seems we don't have no chance to win. Check our record when he rushes for a buck. Tell me a rb besides mr. barry sanders who can run with no offensive line to block. Plain and simple we lost i know that is hurts, but we did. Sean t is fav. but please tell me why wasn't he playing back in deep zone when we knew that they were going to throw the ball.

Portis isn't the problem, it all starts up front. If we upgrade the line in the offseason it will work wonders for Portis and the entire offense.

A fact that has been lost in the chaos that was yesterday's game was that there were TWO cornerbacks that were healthy enough to be playing late in the game. They were Walt Harris and Shawn Springs. Fred Smoot had been carted off the field after puking up his guts on the sidelines (combined with back spasms and a sprained back); Ade Jimoh sprained his ankle at some point during the game, and Garnell Wilds was not active. All Dallas had to do was put 4 WRs out there and we could have basically done nothing about it. It sucks, but we've got to live with it and try to support the team and convey to them just how much we want to win; maybe it'll rub off.
