There are reasons why Haynesworth is the $41 mil. man. His troubles here came from dissatisfaction with the 3-4 (which Denver no longer runs), not from performance. Don't underrate AH's value. The fact that Denver is desperate for DT's makes his value even greater.

Haynesworth for Orton.

His troubles came long before the 3-4 was instituted. I suggest you reflect back to Zorn's years with Blanche. There was also a interview with Jim Washburn on Haynesworth about how he tried for years to get Albert to do right and to play within the system. He eventually just let Albert do his own thing and free lance basically during those contract years.

Albert wants to do what Albert wants to do. He doesn't care about the scheme. Also, read Jim Haslett's take on this as well.

The more I think about it, the more I see a second version of Matt Schaub, who before Kyle Shanahan, noone thought he was that great. Only difference is Kyle is just a couple years younger than Schaub. And that isn't a positive thing? Come on, the more I think of it, the more it makes sense. What does Kyle and Mike need? A game manager who will not turn the ball over. Who fits that bill and has more upside (due to his play AND his age) than Kyle Orton? Perfect candiate for the WCO. I will be MUCH more optimistic going into the season with a proven young commodity such as Orton, than with an aging Rex freekin Grossman, or an overhyped 3rd stringer such as John Beck. Give me Orton any day of the week, and literally twice on Sunday.

Give him a young S. Holmes, a young Hankerson, a slot S. Moss and a rejuvenated Cooley. If he can sling 3800 yards in Denver with an iffy line there and no real weapons, why in the hell couldnt he do it here? Our options are definitely better than what Denver has..........

Get him here, Get it done. We might have found our guy.

Because this is the NFC East, not the AFC West.

Actually, a lot of people, including myself were impressed by Schaub in Atlanta.

I wouldn't mind seeing Orton come here...he made Brandon Lloyd look like Chris Carter! We don't need Holmes though...and you forgot Armstrong. We're plenty deep at WR right now, it's not a priority.

Haynesworth for Orton now.

True. He would have to be throwing against the Cowboys stacked secondary. Oh, as well as the mighty Eagles secondary.

Might want to check your facts there buddy.

The two top secondaries in terms of passing yards per game last year were in the AFC West. (San Diego #1, Oakland #2) Not to mention that the NFC East only had one team in the top HALF in that catagory. The Giants, at #9. All the other 3 teams were in the bottom half of the league in that statistic.

Good try, but he's just going to poo-poo whatever you toss at him.

Ok guys ... just wanted to remind everyone that the last time there was a Lockout the Skins won the SB for that year..... ;) It doesn't mean it's going to happen but hopefully history can repeat itself. Also remember the Skins beat 3 out of 4 teams that were in the playoffs. So can it be done? the Skins coming out this year and supprising everyone? yes. Likelyhood? I don't know they do seem to have a long way to go to right this ship especially on defense but "any given team on any given Sun." right.

I also forgot to mention that all of the other 3 teams in the AFC West were ranked in the top 10 in Sacks(Oakland and San Diego were both tied for second overall), as well as in the top half (All in the top 13) in terms of overall defense. Id wager he would have a much better season in the NFC East.

I said that in jest meaning the AFC West teams suck. Don't take everything I say so literal. Also, the Chargers led the league in Defense and Offense and STILL ended up with a 9-7 record. Pathetic.

Hey, I'm not the one hating on our current QBs and suggesting throwing away picks for yet another guy who may or may not fit our system. Now that's poo-poo! ;)

I don't hate our current QBs (not a huge fan either), I just think Orton is clearly better than what we've got. That said I doubt this move gets made, but if it did I would be in favor of it.
