Various reports are now saying Leinart is going to Seattle. Jackson, Leinart, and Whitehurst in Seattle? Doesn't seem quite right. Never has the statement "when you have three quarterbacks, you have none" rung more trueOf course, the status quo for quarterbacks has been to give up a bazillion draft picks and dollars for the right to have the opportunity to commit the same error again at a later point.

They just need NFC West level competency out of that group. If they end up being the 2010 Cardinals at that position, then they've failed. If they end up being the 2008 Bears, then they're going to win their division again.

11:45 a.m.—Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network reports that before the lockout, Ravens offensive lineman Marshall Yanda rejected a contract offer from the Ravens that was worth $6.5 million a year (report through Rotoworld).

LaCanfora previously reported that the Redskins are interested in Yanda, who can play either guard or tackle. If they do indeed want to bring Yanda on board, the Redskins now know where the bidding for his services starts.

That time has already came and gone today. Baltimore won out and he resigned. My guess it's in the 7-8 mil/per range.

I guess I'm just not as high on AA as some. Nice deep threat, but we've yet to see if he can be anything more than that on a consistent basis.

If we still went after someone like Holmes/Edwards/Rice, I would see that guy and Moss as 1-2, and Hankerson and AA as 3-4. I like Hankerson too but it might take some time for him to work his way on the field consistently. These young guys are going to be facing a steep curve in their rookie years.Well, Rice is different because he is young. He's going to be 25 this season. He'd be a good signing because he'd still be in his prime at a point where Moss is no longer on the team. Rice is a year older than Malcolm Kelly, and would theoretically just replace him on the roster.

Holmes isn't exactly aging at 27, but he's not Sidney Rice. He's one of the best players on the market, but again, if the goal is to improve the wide receivers by adding the most talent, that would make Moss a complete non-fit, if not a roster obstruction. What I'm saying is that going after Holmes to bolster the ability of this group is one thing. Going after Moss to show loyalty to what you think you began building last year is another thing. Bringing in both is just the absence of a focused plan. It's neither moving on or staying the course. It's megalomania - acting for the sake of acting.

The status quo plus some depth is fine in 2011. That's where Moss fits in, it would seem.

I would rather sign Plaxico than give Holmes all that money. That way we have our endzone/possesion reciever and Moss & Hankerson as our deepthreats.
