I'd never say never. Look at favre. Of course this year or anytime soon he won't play elsewhere, but the colts have to draft a successor eventually, and if/when that successor is ready, manning might not be ready to give up football. Its POSSIBLE that Brady might be shown the door in a few years if Mallett develops well.

Peyton Manning to miss start of camp, whenever it starts - Roto Arcade - Fantasy*Blog - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/blog/roto_arcade/post/Peyton-Manning-to-miss-start-of-camp-whenever-i?urn=fantasy-wp5110)

As for Kris Jenkins, I certainly didn't see that coming. Not sure what it means for us now. But it probably gives Maake another life. Which is disconcerting to me, because I thought he was pretty terrible last year and he even recently admitted he's not ready to play right now.

I'm not doubting what your saying but I found this

What I'm referring to is from like a month ago. I think he may have been joking around, but who knows.

We'll see what happens. I think he's borderline for a roster spot

Most of the good 3-4 teams do NT by committee they carry atleast 3 NT's. Neild, Joe Joseph & Ian Williams I know they are all young but their full of energy.

I hope we make a serious run at a NT in free agency, there were numerous options at that position in the draft and we chose not to pursue.none of which were attractive

For once I'd like to see one of these writers to give us an example of lavish free agency spending under BA and MS. I mean as much as I hated the McNabb trade, I don't think that compares to the crazy FA spending under Vinny, who would have given both Willie Parker and LJ long term contracts. Also, if the Redskins spend money on a young guard like Yanda, I wouldn't mind.

Is it just me or is a lot of Football writing becoming very b*tchy nowadays? Maybe is the effect of the lockout

He does at least acknowledge in the past it was a case of signing the wrong guys, and guys like Asomugha, Holmes, Jenkins, Cofield and Yanda aren't high risk players. And he does give the draft some credit too. But yeah overall I agree with there's a bitchy tone. Seems like a lot of writers go that route these days. I guess that's what sells.
