Peyton Manning to miss start of camp, whenever it starts - Roto Arcade - Fantasy*Blog - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/blog/roto_arcade/post/Peyton-Manning-to-miss-start-of-camp-whenever-i?urn=fantasy-wp5110)

As for Kris Jenkins, I certainly didn't see that coming. Not sure what it means for us now. But it probably gives Maake another life. Which is disconcerting to me, because I thought he was pretty terrible last year and he even recently admitted he's not ready to play right now.

So our plan was Kris Jenkins or stick with Maake? jesus thats just efffing horrible.

I hope we make a serious run at a NT in free agency, there were numerous options at that position in the draft and we chose not to pursue.

I'd be upset because all the chaos we have in DC it would just be a sad end to an awesome career. We need to get our stuff together without stealing everone elses stars.

But we are getting better. We get some FA o-linemen and you still think that would be the end of Peyton's career if we signed him? I think that would be epic! You aren't going to tell me it wouldn't make this team a hell of a lot better.

Yes and no... Would Shanny be able to let Payton play his style of game? I think not. How would it be any different than McNabb?

Peyton Manning will never go to a team that is "getting better".
We are still a 6-10 team until we prove otherwise.
He will only go to a SB contender.
But keep on dreaming.

Because he is Peyton Freaking Manning. I think Manning is a bit higher on the QB echelon scale than McNabb. If Shanny is serious about winning and signing him was a viable option, why wouldn't he adapt to an elite player's style.

I agree he is higher on the Qb echelon but, your assuming many people in the Redskins organization to check their ego's at the door. These are people who historically haven't been able to do this. Shanny didn't do it for Elway or Young why would he for Payton?

Take Manning off the Colts and they probably are a 6-10 team. I have no doubt he could go just about anywhere and take a team to the playoffs, as long as he brings the same offense he's been running with him.

In the end he's not going anywhere folks, no need to even discuss it really.

I'm not suggesting they will. I am simply saying if they were smart and wanted to put winning as the most paramount thing for this organization and we even had a remote shot to sign him, I would do it in a heart beat. I realize I am not them. But I tire of being on the down hill side of things. Wishful thoughts. That is all.

Okay. I will stop talking about it. But when it happens, just like McNabb was out of the blue last year, just remember where you heard it from first... This guy!!

And when it doesn't happen, remember who told you.
