While it is/was time for him to retire due to wear and tear, BF's sudden and final retirement was also a convenient way to avoid a more in depth investigation and possible suspension from the embarrassing sex-ting and possible sexual harassment issues from his Jets days. I don't think he wants more things coming to light and a possible suspension from the Roger Goddell's moral police. This is not based on any facts, just my assumptions, but the timing all this last year was very convenient. As much as BF wants to come back, he is not coming back. No way. He may have the heart to play and that had carried him through most of his career, but age and injuries finally took enough away from his abilities that no amount of heart can lead him to success any more. Plus, the "other" stuff he's involved in too. | |
