It's a real shame about White. For some reason, I always thought of him as the face of the new free agent era when he went to Green Bay, a team that really wasn't all that good when he joined them but he helped guide them back to glory.

And I don't know about the rest of you, but I thought Bruce Smith's quest for the sack record these past couple of years made Reggie White look so much better the way BS approached the recordI totally agree on Smith.

Smith might have the record but to me White was the better player.

I guess Smith really needed that record to validate his career since he didn't get a ring. Too bad he looked so pathetic in the way he hung around way past his prime.
