Still downfield vertical stuff doesn't really seem to be his game. He's basically a shorter Antonio Gates playing on the flank. IE big body with long arms that knows how to fight for the ball when it's in the air. Separation Skills -2 - "Not a blazer but a strong route runner and flashes some savvy in this area. Does a nice job of setting up defenders within stem to gain initial leverage. Doesn't explode out of breaks with lateral cuts but has enough body control to create separation. Flashes head and shoulder at the top of stem to freeze defenders. Sells double moves well. Can uncover against zone coverage and has a natural feel for soft spots. Does a nice job of coming back down the chute with hooks, curls etc. " Big play ability -2 - "Possesses enough top-end speed to get behind coverage. Tracks the deep ball extremely well and displays the size, strength and leaping ability to win one-on-one down field battles. Not overly elusive after the catch but a strong runner that can break tackles and pick up extra yards. Flashes an effective straight-arm. " |
