Seems like our friends at EA have got themselves themselves (http://www.newsday.com/business/ny-bznfl164087814dec17,0,2408532.story?coll=ny-business-headlines) an exclusive deal with the NFL. For the first time ever I purchased Sega's NFL2KX game this year and I have been pretty happy with it. Now this happens and all I have to say is screw you EA. You can't force me to buy Madden. I hope Sega continues to produce NFL games. I'll definitely continue buy whatever they produce.

I Buy Nothing But Ea So This Doesnt Bother Me
I don't know how they can continue to produce NFL games. Perhaps they'll move their focus to their college ball game.

i always hated college games because they cant use players names. i hate it when everyone is just a number.
I definitly prefer EA, but I still wanted the compeition to force them to improve. I think they will still try to keep improving, expecially with teh new consoles coming out.
EA is having some management issues with their programmers. they typically hire entry level programmers and dont advance the current programmers so they leave.
the end result is a repackaged product.
I've been disappointed with the NFL licensing agreements. first they sold team rights to REEBOK, now this.
next year, EASPORTS Football is going to be sold for $70 per game instead of the usual $40. also, to help with the 250 million they game to the nfl, they are probably going to dump the madden brand, thank god i hate listening to him.
gamers are pretty monogamous. some people have stuck with madden football for over 10 years. others were NFL gameday fans(which no longer exist). i am a gameday fan.
i only bought 2k5 because it was $20 and came out a month earlier than madden. but i love the game. i like the game play speed and movements more than madden.
I'm really disapointed with the nfl...

$70 might be a stretch but I wouldn't be surprised if they sell them for $59.99 3/4 years from now.
An anti-trust lawsuit should be brought up against EA as they are in fact the most dominant force in gaming. Even Microsoft had to kiss their ass to get their games on the XBox platform.

This isn't good. That's like having FOX exclusively showing NFC and AFC games.
