Where's the love for Smoot?

Trotter should not be there, period. He is a great run stopper but not an all around LB (like Pierce). I didn't say everyone that has a vote has a brain.

Well, 2/3rds of Trotters votes must have come from players and coaches not on his team. That means he commanded a lot of respect from them for whatever reason.
