UPDATE: Camera put up to monitor vandals | LoudounTimes.com (http://www.loudountimes.com/index.php/news/article/santa_skeleton_left_amputated_on_courthouse_lawn12 3/)
Serious question DirtBag: Are you the Loudon County Courthouse Holiday Display vandal?????
Well as I said before, I could care less about the War on Christmas. I find both sides to be ridiculous. Non-believers are making other non-believers look petty while the religious-right tries to spin it as malicious religious persecution. Nobody wins the War on Christmas. And most importantly the atheist are putting at risk the virtually automatic time off that everyone gets on the 25th and in many cases the 24th.
Now as for the picture. Cross predominantly displayed in front of a government building doesn't sit well with the secular side of me. Regardless of the message. The message itself is relatively interesting but the venue is inappropriate.

Only Congress has the power to declare war on Christmas. It's in The US Constitution.

lol nice
Christmas is all about money now period. Its about making bottomlines. Same people that bitch about a culture war on christmas rather sit in lines to get $500 tv than show up for church or mass on christmas day. Hypocricy is seriously our country's most entertaining value.

No need to wage war on xmass...let the christians celebrate thier pagan festival. Also, I can understand kids getting gifts but adults exchanging gift of similar value? Seems stupid.
Remember, cash is king... give a gift card.

Speak for yourself. Me and several others have worked all week to get food, gifts, paid a families rent, etc.. to help them through christmas. While doing this I have found a whole network of people trying to help people and it has made Christmas that much more special this year.

That is really great FD and it brings the true meaning to the holiday.
Charity and giving is awesome, i guess when people call it other things it invokes different reactions. But come'on Money, materialism > sweet baby jesus in this country all day long

Actually I did not mean for that post to sound like the "me" post as it did. Our Club decided to give $ to needy families in our area. What I was trying to point out was how many people where actually networking to help families in our area. We see the people out shopping around but what's not seen are all the people helping others in tough times.

I think you know, but i was completely kidding. And youre completely right the people that want to make a point by getting the right to put a skelton Santa on a cross in front of a courthouse are crazy and are fing up their own cause.
Christmas may be the most material of all the holidays, but its probably also the most charitable holiday (Thanksgiving up there?).

Why do people still support these clowns? I find it hilarious we talk shit about North Koreans being brain washed, yet follow idiots like this in our government.
