The wrong John Wayne - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2011/jun/27/the-wrong-john-wayne/)
You'd think that the woman would know which John Wayne came from her own home town. It's not so much the gaffe, but it's her own hometown and still doesn't even know.
If they are this stupid, would you want them having the finger on a nuclear button or making crucial economic/foreign policies? Is this all that America has to offer? This is sad.
meh close enough

You seemed to leave out the fact that John Waynes Parents are in fact from her home town so lets get the facts straight. It really does not matter because the people who make issues with this stuff are not going to even vote for a rep. in the first place.

I have to say...and don't read too much into this...I'm becoming a Michele Bachmann fan. Not because of her policies and not that I'd ever support her. Yeah, she's batty as hell sometimes, but she's not letting the media bait her into playing the victim and petty sniping. She's keeping her eye on the ball and pressing forward in a very serious way. I can respect that.
I suspect she'll only get stronger as the campaign rolls along. Is she smarter or a better politician than, say, Mitt Romney? Probably not, but I think people feel she's authentic.
So while the liberal media will make hay of her gaffes and try to diminish her candidacy, it's just a reminder to those that support her, as well as those who are thinking about it, that she's not your typical packaged Washington candidate. She needs a little polishing and she'll give old Mittens a run for his money.

She's the one that left that out.
She tends to leave a lot of things out apparently:
Among them could be some of Bachmann's historical gaffes, most notably her assertion that the country's founding fathers "worked tirelessly" to abolish slavery. In fact, several founding fathers possessed slaves, with Thomas Jefferson famously fathering children with one of his.
Slavery was not abolished until almost 100 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed.

Romney is as ho-hum of a candidate as they come. It's not going to take much for someone to outshine him.

FACT CHECK: Bachmann bomblets raising eyebrows - Yahoo! News (http://old.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110628/ap_on_el_ge/us_bachmann_fact_check)
Wow, out of 24 statements, 17 of them are false...lol Who do these people hire to write their speeches?
Bachmann giving subsidies to a farm she part owns. Nope, no conflict of interest there. Why are idiots voting for people like this again?
So don't vote for her.
