Chris Christie would be a fool to get talked into running. He won't carry NJ, his numbers are slipping there too, and he's been on the job, what, six months? If he vacates that seat, I think there's a solid chance a Dem would pick that seat up. Corey Booker anyone?

Rick Perry would be a formidable primary candidate, in my opinion, but I don't think he matches up well with Obama in a general election.

When it comes to hypocrisy, Rick Perry gets that First Prize:

Texas balanced budget with stimulus money from Washington - Jan. 23, 2011 (http://money.cnn.com/2011/01/23/news/economy/texas_perry_budget_stimulus/index.htm)

Wonder how the tea party feels about that?

I see shades of Fred Thompson when I think of Chris Christie. In the sense that he may ultimately get talked into it but not really want to do it, and it will show

Huntsman-Rubio 2012!!!

Wonder how the tea party feels about that? Not so fast my friend. Headlines are nice, but the devil is in the details. As the Gov of TX it would be flat out irresponsible for him to leave Federal money to help his state on the table.

From the article:
"Texas would have balanced its budget regardless of the presence of stimulus dollars," said Lucy Nashed, Perry's deputy press secretary. "This money came from the pockets of Texas taxpayers, and we are committed to getting our fair share of these dollars, which would have otherwise been disbursed to other states."

I'll have to say I'm torn on this issue. While I want the goverment to reduce spending the money Texas took was money all ready spent. So if Texas did not take the money it would just go to another state so by refusing the money he would not reduce any spending.

That would be like me pointing to someone who takes a tax right off but believes we need to increase taxes.

So they get 24,000 emails of SP and they have come up with nothing? When was the last time we have seen a person attacked over and over again by the left and the media? We know less about our president then we know about SP. Not sure how many people could have 24,000 email reviewed without something poping up. Hell if they just read my emails for on week they would find more.
