According to Rich Campbell, Aldrick Robinson's flight was cancelled due to bad weather

Atogwe also not there-so Doughty, Landry, and Atogwe all not there. Reed and OJ have legit excuses. Not sure what Landry's is.

And Malcolm Kelly not here either. Not really sure why not. But I can't entirely blame him considering his injury history

If I'm Kelly I'd be sequestered in a hyperbaric chamber until the lockout ends and camp begins. He knows this is his last chance and won't risk it for anything. He probably won't take McNabb's calls this year about AZ throwing camp!

Good to see Beck taking a leadership role. If nothing else he's proving to Mike and Kyle that he WANTS to be the man. Whether he's capable of doing so or not is a wholly different conversation. Hopefully though his play 'becks' up his words.

Veterans put Redskins rookies to work (http://www.csnwashington.com/05/24/11/Nearly-40-Redskins-attend-workout/landing.html?blockID=528118&feedID=6458)

Agree on Beck, Matty. That's smart what he's doing

You're coming around :D

I'd still prefer Rex start at this point

I'd still prefer Rex start at this pointI think just the probability says he's a better option than Beck, but I'm doing the Jags game review right now and it looks like the worst performance by a Redskins QB since Todd Collins against Kansas City in 2009.

I guess I don't know what else to say outside of the fact that Quarterbacks were last a problem here during the Martyball days. So this is somewhat new territory we're treading into.

And even then we went 8-8 after an 0-5 start. Then again we had a defense that year along with a running game. Kind of miss Stephen Davis now. Still both defense and running game in position to improve significantly this year.

Not sure though if Kyle needs to change philosophy or if he's simply been handcuffed by poor defensive play that has forced him to continue throwing the ball late in games. In both of the Grossman video's I've made you can see how much longer the second half is then the first half, mainly because running game has to be abandoned to control clock and attempt to catch up in the second half. Haven't gotten past the first half of the Jags game though, interested in seeing your report.

Rex or Beck is fine with me for this coming year. After that we can see what our options are. As for the FA options I don't see any them benefitting more than our in house personel.

According to Grant Paulsen, Fred Davis is down to 245 lbs.

Also, heard Rex was much more of a loner on the sidelines. Beck was the "leader" of the offense, offering up encouragement/words of advice to the rookies

Everyone in attendance is getting a copy of the playbook, if they don't have it already

I think you meant Lorenzo Alexander is down to 245...it is on one of the articles....it also mentions that Alexander is toying with playing ILB....now if that is true....that sounds like a potential long term fit. I never really thought of that idea for him before. Imagine him playing next to London Fletcher, or as his backup....I can see that as his long term home.
He sure has played enough positions to be able to make some defensive calls. Frankly, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing him try out the ILB spot.
What do you guys think?

No I meant Fred Davis

And yes, Alexander has been playing some at ILB. I think that may have even started last season

Yeah, I recall in camp they moved him there in a few packages. I agree that it is more likely a long-term fit for him & its a position we're thin at, especially if Rocky leaves as expected.

Good grief, how FAT was Fred Davis before?
