So many great teams have had great players that partied. Sunny Jurgenson, John Riggins, Dexter Manyley, Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, numerous Oakland Raiders of the 70's....who really gives a damn? Just bring it on game day.

With the exception of SS and maybe a few others, most of us are in the bleachers on on the couch at the end of the day so its all speculation. I'd like to think it doesn't though.
Speculation? Perennial powerhouse with plug and play system vs mediocre underachievers....the proof is in the pudding.

I don't go around partying with various NFL teams. I dint know how they operate league wide. Parker sure is saying a lot though for a guy who's more or less just been a flash in the pan

How'd Larry Johnson get involved in this? Were they here for such a short amount of time, Hall couldn't tell LJ and Parker apart?

Parker went on to say too much of the team cares more about “partying and stuff.”
Hmm interesting.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is in (alleged) trouble again. For the second time in two years, he’s being investigated for sexual assault, though at this point the facts are still unclear and no charges have been filed. (In 2009 a hotel employee sued the football star for sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, and infliction of emotional distress over an alleged 2008 encounter. Roethlisberger denied those claims; that suit is ongoing).
Ben Roethlisberger Questioned in Sexual Assault (Again): Some Accusers Lie, but Fewer Than You Think - Newsweek (http://www.newsweek.com/blogs/the-human-condition/2010/03/09/ben-roethlisberger-questioned-in-sexual-assault-again-some-accusers-lie-but-fewer-than-you-think.html)
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- The 20-year-old college student who accused Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault told police she tried to get away from the Pittsburgh Steelers star, but he cornered her in a nightclub bathroom.
Santonio Holms
In a span of 25 days, Holmes, 22, was arrested in two cities, the most recent -- and more serious -- on a charge of domestic violence and assault against the mother of one of his three children. That does not include an arrest in November 2003, when he was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an altercation outside an Ohio State campus dormitory in which four women reported being assaulted.

James Harrison
Tibbott, according to the affidavit, told police she locked herself in her bathroom after an argument and that Harrison broke into the room as she tried to call 911. According to the affidavit, Harrison snapped her cell phone in half and knocked off her glasses by slapping her across the face.

Jeff Reed
Jeff Reed is in trouble for the second time in less than a year. Just hours after the Steelers beat the Browns at Heinz Field, he was cited for public intoxication outside a bar.
Steelers Mascot Arrested
This week saw yet another tally added to the litany of off-season woes when Steely McBeam, our much beloved reviled mascot, was arrested and charged with a DUI.
Matt Spaeth
Apparently his fellow teammate and bar buddy Matt Spaeth has the same problem. Last October, the Steelers’ tight end was with Reed when he was arrested and booked for public urination after using a spot next to an SUV as his own personal restroom.
I'm soo glad the Steelers have their shit together and are focused and don't party. Now not only do we know Willie Parker can't run like he used to, we know he won't be honest about the Steeler's and would prefer to, yet like everybody else, throw the Skins under the bus or devert attention away from the Steelers.
I think we all pretty much know young single football players are going to go out and have fun at the bars. I think what is more important is how they handle themselves while they are there and how they play on Sunday. As long as the coaching staff has no problem with the players then I don't either. Because I'm sure if the coaching staff believes a player is not giving it his all that player will be cut or traded and someone else will be put in his place. .... Like Ryan Torrain and Keiland Williams. Willie... what happened? you let two rookies beat you out? you must not care about football or your partying too much.

Parker never mentioned an either-or code of ethics with regards to partying. It's a CONTINUUM based on how much time the player allocates their 24 hours football things and non-football things and how much "quality practice" they engage in. Rapistberger could still be dedicating 8 hours a day everyday of the year and doing the raping shit a night.
Parker did not "divert", he was asked to compare what made the Steelers "better" than other teams.

What do Parker and Smith both have in common?
They failed miserably for the Skins. Of course they'll be bitter...that was their last chance for a job. Neither one of them can hold onto a ball anymore.
All of this tabloid-driven crap means nothing. Parker is washed up and looking for any attention he can get so someone might invite him to camp, so he has one last chance to get cut from another team before hanging up his cleats.
Without the "Fast", Fast Willie Parker is useless.
