If they are rated so highly, why did the Skins draft a safety? Why not another offensive lineman?

It's always good to have depth in each position; Doughty and Horton (I believe) will be free agents. Beside it's evident Shanny believes we have good depth on O-line (regardless of fans' beliefs) or he have plans with free agency.

Landry for 16 games will be higher than #10. He was on his way to a Defensive MVP last season. Led the league in tackles halfway through the season...had significant, game-winning turnovers and sacks. His move back to SS was the best move the team made in 2010. Sending him on blitzes is just unfair to offenses, he's a physical beast.

Laron Landry is pretty solid -- his only real deficiency is in coverage because he is looking to hit, not necessarily cover

I think Haslett addressed this last year though. For 2 years we saw Landry playing that Halo spot because Blache thought he could cover more ground than any player on the team but Landry is prone to bad angles, solution: play him close to the LOS. He did this last year and when healthy he played besutifully. I think having him gain weight was a mistake. He remarked last year that he would like to get up to 240 lbs which is just too big to play in the secondary if your name isn't Taylor Mays. He did prove that when he is close to the LOS he can make plays everywhere. I also liked the fact that they incorporated him into some very effective blitz packages. Bottom line is this guy can play in the right position. Atogwe is better suited to be the Halo safety that never lets anything behind him and makes plays on the ball. Haslett has experience with him and I think the Redskins made a nice move signing him. Kareem Moore for all his effort was just not capable of playing at the FS spot, he looked overwhelmed at times and had instances where he seemed confused as to where he should be in coverage. It hink Haslett is trying to model thsi defense after the one in Pittsburgh, Landry is our Pamalu and Atogwe is a better version of Ryan Clarke.

Until Landry can cover somebody, he's no better than Roy Williams was for the Cowboys.Landry has no problem in man coverage. His problem is when he's in a read/react coverage situation. He really struggles in a Cover 2 scheme and can be easily influenced in Cover 1....hence put him near the LoS in run support or in man on a TE/RB

I think Landry would be higher on this list if he didn't get hurt. He was on pace to be in the top three until he was sidelined.

Because Kareem Moore didn't do such a good job and you still want depth.
