JoeRedskin 05-02-2011, 03:25 PM I have been reading some of the comments to the various stories. Anyone who thought holding onto the body would diffuse conspiracy theories just needs to take a look at some of them. The people making them up are so out on the fringe that they wouldn't believe it if they were could inspect the body and the DNA evidence themselves.
Here are just a few:
"I have yet to see any evidence that Bin Laden was involved in the 9-11 attacks. The FBI thinks the same and he was never indicted for that crime. That’s why he had to be killed, not captured. He could only be tried for the USS Cole and the Embassy bombing. Something is fishy."
"The main stream media has just announced that you are dead you better go dig your own grave and lay in it. This is just another false flag by the Federal liars of America. Birth Certificate is false and so is this. Wake up brain dead America!!!"
"Puhleeeeeze! No body, no proof. Less than 12 hours after alleged death he disappeared into the deep blue sea? Does Obama think the whole world is really that gullible? He may have a lot of his groupies fooled, but THAT'S IT! Lawdy...he is such a fool bought and paid for by Soros and the rest of the One World Order freaks."
Conspiracy theories are wonderful things - they let you think you are smarter than everyone else, they always support your point of view, and they can never be fully disproven ('cause they just morph into a similar but different conspiracy).
Ladies and Gentlemen, Osama Bin Laden has left the building.
skinsfaninok 05-02-2011, 03:29 PM So what's next for Pakistan? Seems to me they've got some serious explaining to do.
I heard that no country was willing to take Bin Laden's body, and also we buried him at sea so no one could use his grave site as a pilgrimage location. Interesting.
I just want to see PICS!
JoeRedskin 05-02-2011, 03:32 PM No way in hell I would ever want anybody in Black Ops put on TV or exposed, no matter how great their service is. Chances are it would put their family (and themselves) in grave danger.
My original point was simply that it was a shame they couldn't be personally thanked by the public. I thought it implicit in the sentiment that I recognized it was impossible to do so b/c of the danger it would represent to the men who carried out the action.
Just b/c I recognize it can't be done, doesn't lessen my desire to shake the hand of each of the men who participated.

I wonder what buried at sea really means in this case. Chopped up in a meat grinder, pissed on, and fed to the sharks perhaps?

We need to retain our friendship with Pakistan because we have more al Qaeda cleanup to do. But we also need to revisit our positions, especially after we've done more al Qaeda mop-up. We give them civilian and military aid despite the fact that the ISI (their CIA) and the Pak military are full of al Qaeda / Taliban sympathizers. Yeah, they have some explaining to do.
As for the pilgrimage thing, bin Laden was a Salafi Muslim, meaning he and his followers should not be doing pilgrimages to tombs. But there are many non-Salafi Muslims who may have turned his grave into a shrine of sorts. The burial at sea was a good idea, despite the outcry of some people.

Works for me.
JoeRedskin 05-02-2011, 03:38 PM Another one:
" 'All of you that are claiming it's fake, try using thought for a minute. Are you calling the Navy Seals liars? Are you calling all aboard the aircraft carrier that did the burial liars? Are you calling every CIA agent that had their hands in this a bunch of liars?' Scott F
That about sums it up Scott F. And it isn't the first time or have you forgotten about Kennedy's assassination cover-up? Dems are masters at this sort of deceit. Soros' money can buy anything. And Panetta would lie through his teeth to appease Obamao."
Seriously, if you detach yourself from the need for facts and evidence, anything is possible!! joethiesmanfan where are you????

I agree that we need to maintain a "friendship" of sorts, but apparently our relationship with them has been pretty strained, even before this.
Bottom line is OBL was living in a custom-built, million dollar compound complete with armed guards, 18 foot walls, and razor wire, just minutes from a Pakistani military installation. There's no way in hell Pakistan wasn't knowingly harboring him. Pretty scary coming from a country that has nuclear weapons. Just saying.
JoeRedskin 05-02-2011, 03:39 PM So what's more toxic - the area around the Japanese nuclear explosion or the waters where they dumped OBL?
saden1 05-02-2011, 03:43 PM The crazy will be out in full force. Trump, where are you? The stage is yours!
