Shanahan confident his past minor indiscretions are behind him and his size and versatility will add depth to both ST and the WR positions.

We could still bring back Buchanon at corner too. And once Rogers sees his true value on the open market, perhaps he comes back as well.
The Raiders really hurt our chances at keeping carlos rogers for a reasonable price. When they gave Stanford Routt 3 years/ 31 MIL they basically set the market for rogers, or at least gave his agent some bargaining ammo when the Redskins eventually try to talk to them. These two guys basically have identical statistics last year Rogers -54 tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT Routt - 55 Tackles, 1 FF, 2 INT. Both are cover corners with no hands. Add to that the fact that Rogers is bitter about his tender last season and I would expect him to walk.
If he walks fine, but he's not going to find the big $$ out there he thinks he's worth.

I know this is a bit off topic, but since we're talking about CBs, I'm really hating the rumors of Nnamdi to the Eagles.

Just as I suspected. So for all you guys saying that the Redskins should have tried for more remember this. The Cowboys got to greedy and had to reach 7 picks early for a Right Tackle instead of picking up an extra second.
Cowboys say no to trade offer from Jaguars
The Cowboys got the same offer from the Jaguars that the Redskins eventually took.
The Jaguars acquired the No. 10 pick from the Redskins to take quarterback Blaine Gabbert. To do so, the Jaguars gave up the No. 16 pick and the No. 49 pick.
If the Cowboys had taken the offer, they would have had picks at 16 (the Jaguars’), 40 (their own) and 49 (the Jaguars’).

This makes me like the trade even more

Thought I would share this video if it's not posted I found..
YouTube - Washington Redskins 2011 Draft Class Highlights
Has most of our picks and their highlights.. Something noticed in the video's is Helu is a freaking BURNER... Guy hits the corner and is GONE!!! I could see him starting by the start of the season, and R-ster or Torain at 2nd string.
Hank will be our #1 soon.. He's a beast.

I give this draft an A. Kerrigan, Jenkins, Hankerson and either Royster or Helu should start right away. Now we need 2 more like this one and we're on our way.
Speaking of Hankerson....this interview with him on 106.7 the fan suggests he's a player that will be playing with a chip on his shoulder. I admire confidence when it's not borderline arrogance.

I wonder, is this the first time Shanahan has gone hungry for captains in the draft? Or did something similar happen in one of his Broncos drafts?

The questions begs....was his draft board set up that way....did he follow his board, or was it just coincidence? Whatever his intention was, I think one could safely conclude it became apparent he was looking for a particular type of player.
