If we don't get a center we have to get a guard then. Its a must
41st Pick: Javaris Jenkins - NT - Clemsonmusicmaster45 04-30-2011, 08:27 AM If we don't get a center we have to get a guard then. Its a must Dirtbag59 04-30-2011, 08:30 AM If we don't get a center we have to get a guard then. Its a must I want to get a Guard or Center to but if Kendall Hunter (RB Oklahoma State) is there we just have to take him. This is a player where no one would have blinked at us taking him in the second round and now we can get him in the fourth. We missed out on Blount last year, I don't want to make the same mistake again. skinsfan69 04-30-2011, 08:36 AM This guy only repped 225lbs 17 times and the combine...how much of a nose tackle could he be? I would have drafted that kid from Oregon State. Weak: Scout.com: Plenty left to prove at pro day (http://clemson.scout.com/2/1057085.html) since when is bench pressing a part of football? i really don't give a crap how many reps the guy did at the combine. if the guy is a player then that's all i care about. skinsfan69 04-30-2011, 08:37 AM From what I've heard, the only people who say we have a weakness at center is the fans. The guys on the team all say Rabach is a leader and is absolutely a favorite in the locker room. well week after week i see him hold and get beat. we need a center in the worst way. Longtimefan 04-30-2011, 08:40 AM NFL Draft 2011: Redskins take Jarvis Jenkins, trade three times on Day 2 - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/redskins-take-jenkins-trade-down-again/2011/04/29/AFWufxHF_story.html) “They told me they run a 3-4 defense under Mike Shanahan, and they told me I’m going to be a two-gap guy, and I can do that: two-gap or three,” Jenkins said. “I can get in and do whatever anybody asks me . . . I’m all about winning. I’ll sit there on two knees if that’s what they want me to do.” How good it "could have been" if a certain player we all know had chosen to adopt that last line of mentality. Dirtbag59 04-30-2011, 08:45 AM well week after week i see him hold and get beat. we need a center in the worst way. I really wish I could find this picture I posted from the Bucs-Redskin game that showed Rabach being driven 2-3 yards into the backfield on a key run that ended up being a TFL. And this wasn't an isolated incident, there were other pictures of Rabach being destroyed then there was the Titans game, and while Montgomery didn't dominate he did hold him ground allowing the offense to be much better off. Problem was McNabb couldn't learn to be accurate. I still remember him sitting in the pocket untouched for 6 seconds, no one even close to him and he threw an INT trying to force the ball to Galloway of all people. saden1 04-30-2011, 09:01 AM since when is bench pressing a part of football? i really don't give a crap how many reps the guy did at the combine. if the guy is a player then that's all i care about. I thought stamina and strength are a prerequisite to playing football? I suppose since bench pressing is not necessary there is no need for Jenkins to work on his strength and stamina. Yaaaay. Here is one from Jacksonville. _N_5YB_cv_o ..swing and a miss UG8fCq8iKEw Dirtbag59 04-30-2011, 09:07 AM Here is one from Jacksonville. _N_5YB_cv_o Thats not really that bad. He took him out of the play. However there are plenty of other times where defenders actually use Rabach to tackle running backs in the backfield. skinsfan69 04-30-2011, 09:13 AM I thought stamina and strength are a prerequisite to playing football? I suppose since bench pressing is not necessary there is no need for Jenkins to work on his strength and stamina. Yaaaay. Well Jared Allen barely did any reps at the combine. Neither did Sean Taylor. It's about leverage and football ability/IQ. Yes you need stamina, but I really don't care what a guy benches. This guy appears to be just what we need. A big huge body that can play the run. |
