I don't see the Bengals taking a QB. I just can't see us taking Smith either, as much as I like him. Monkeydad 04-29-2011, 12:37 PM That is two HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE picks for us. I should have expected garbage picks from PFT though. celts32 04-29-2011, 12:39 PM Torrey Smith or any WR at #41 would be assinine IMO. Would rather draft Paea at #41. Would be happy with Mallett at #49...that seems like a good risk/reward spot for him. I don't see him lasting that long though. mredskins 04-29-2011, 12:39 PM PFT must think Vinny is still drafting for us! redsk1 04-29-2011, 02:37 PM PFT’s second-round mock draft | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/29/pfts-second-round-mock-draft/) I just don't see us going Torrey Smith. Although we need WR help, we've got the some small fast WR's...Banks, Austin, Armstrong. Not saying we won't go w/ Hankerson or Little at some point, but who knows. Terpfan76 04-29-2011, 02:59 PM Torrey Smith is 6'1" 200lbs and has a 41" vertical, I'd hardly consider him a small, fast receiver. skinsfaninok 04-29-2011, 03:05 PM Torrey Smith is 6'1" 200lbs and has a 41" vertical, I'd hardly consider him a small, fast receiver. I was just gonna say the same thing Dirtbag59 04-29-2011, 04:10 PM Torrey Smith is 6'1" 200lbs and has a 41" vertical, I'd hardly consider him a small, fast receiver. Classic looks like Tarzan plays like Jane player from Maryland. He's basically a bigger version of Ted Ginn Jr. Great physical tools but only ran 4 routes in college. If we MUST go Receiver I would rather go Hankerson, Cobb, Little, or Young. Still I have absolute contempt for Receivers. Guys who if you're lucky are only involved in 7 or 8 plays a game. Compare that to lineman who are involved in at least 30 to 40 plays a game, and QB's who handle the ball on 99% of offensive snaps that aren't punts and field goals. celts32 04-29-2011, 04:21 PM Classic looks like Tarzan plays like Jane player from Maryland. WR is a luxury pick for a team trying to rebuild. I might take one tomorrow but i wouldn't do it tonight. Focus on QB and line play. I would even draft a RB before I took a WR since a good RB can handle the ball 15 to 20 times in a game. |
