Teams drafting 20-32 have franchise Qb's... why are they drafting in the later first round? Because they are good teams w/ franchise QB..
Well tell me how it is most franchise QB's aren't picked in the bottom half of the 1st and entire 2nd round? Because elite QB's go early. Top 10 picks. We didn't have a shot at that this year. So we can easily fill one of the tons of other needs we had. You think Minnesota did themselves a favor reaching for Ponder at 12? Nope. You and I are comparing apples and oranges my friend.

dont forget Julio Jones and Roddy White
See the thing is I don't think it really makes them that much better. They needed more defense (48-21 in the playoffs anyone) and the draft was deep at receiver. They have a great QB so they didn't need to get the "succeed with any QB" type assuming Jones develops that way.
Even the Cardinals who made it to the Super Bowl with an elite Receiver duo didn't win.
