They still need someone to create a push against the interior, and it would be great if Haynesworth could be that someone but that hasn't been working for me.

Then again the Giants have killed teams with good, not great, interior D-lineman so it's certainly possible. Plus Rak and Kerri aren't finess guys. Both are capable of bull rushing people.

I only said "beginning" of the rebirth(renaissance means rebirth). The task is certainly not complete. Until we get an NT, we shall remain cupcakes against the run.

But by the sounds of it, this kid has "relentlessness" in his game. His measurables are very similar to Rak as well. Hopefully, his intangibles are just as good as, if not better than, Rak's.

We've drafted "linemen" in the first round three years in a row now. I hope our return on Kerrigan will be up to par with the other two.

Smoots words have spread across Redskin nation

So we pick up a high character guy in kerrigan and trade for a **** up in Vince Young? I just can't see that happening despite what SS predicts...

Haynesworth is not a NT, Shanahan should've realized this last year and we could have had an extra pick this year for Haynesworth and should've picked up Cody with that second rounder he gave up for McNabb.

I was talking more about 3-4 D-Line as a whole (NT and DE). Someone between Ryan and Orakpo to prevent QB's from stepping up in the pocket.

Still I like the thinking of Redskin management. Like "you know what NFC East? We might be the only team without a franchise/pro bowl/90+ QB, but we'll be damned if we continue to let your pretty boys sit back there untouched when we meet up."

Nah, Vince Young seems to be a Sergei Kostitsyn. He "bad character" is not chronic like TO's. He just needs to mesh with the "right" mentor.

I don't know, I still don't think it is the right move.

After 10 years of Cerratoian mismanagement and neglect of the lines, it's about damn time that the beauty and thrill of true QB smashing is reintroduced to the Redskins faithful.

Agreed. Young's a good person. Besides can't hurt to let Shanahan coach another guy named Young.

Maybe for us, it isn't, but I think he can still turn it around somehwere. At least he put in the effort to fix himself up, unlike a guy named JaMarcus.
