We can post new threads! Yea! Check if already posted. Checked! This can't be posted already, it's all in my mind!
If the following Draft Day Trade offer was made, would you take it for the #10 spot in the first round? Keep in mind without a new CBA, and with the current Lock-Out, or strike, or whatever you call it, we can only trade picks! Not Live current players! If not this offer, suggest a better one! I don't think the Patriots give up #17, but that is just me.

Round 1, #28, Round 2, #33, and Round 3, #74 from the Patriots.

I think that I'd insist on Round 1, #17, Round 2, #60, and Round 4, #124 from the Pats because I think we can still get an impact pass rusher at #17 but probably not at #28. I read that the Pats are shopping pick #28 but if there is somebody that they really want who is available at #10, then they may give up #17 to get him.

No team is trading up to draft Blaine freakin Gabbert.

Not the Redskins. Not anyone.

I think that I'd be unwilling to move that far down because it might mean missing out on Locker. I don't think that it should be "QB or bust" in the first round, but moving back 18 spots would probably mean missing out on the 3 top rated passers in this draft. That said, I wouldn't mind moving down there and grabbing Phil Taylor because I think he could be a great NT and that would probably mean as much to this team as any other position going forward.

If that scenario played out I'd like to take Dalton at 33 and still have another top choice in round 2.

I don't think I'd take the trade, but I can see some scenarios where it could easily play out in our favor. In spite of that, I don't think there's anyway the Patriots try to move UP in the draft, though, so that probably makes this discussion meaningless.

Trading down that far would have to bring us a lot more than that to make it worthwhile.

No, I wouldn't do it.

In view of Belichick's draft history, I can understand why you don't think the Pats would move up. Nevertheless, I think the Pats might just make an exception this time to get Julio Jones. Their playoff loss to the Jets showed that they need a deep threat to help out the offense and they won't have Tom Brady forever so they need to give him the weapons he needs now.

As I wrote above, I would certainly insist on the 17th pick as part of the deal if they were to call about moving up to #10.

The people mentioning the #17 pick are correct. I had forgotten about that one. So I change my vote to "yes" only as long as the #17 pick were included.

I'd prefer not to trade so far down in the first. If anything, I'd move down in the 2nd round

Amen. I hope this is the last time, at least for a while, that our record earns us a shot at a top ten talent.
