I like Kaepernick and Dalton. If we don't land a QB in the first round, I'd be happy with either of those two. I watched 4 or 5 Nevada games last year, and Kaepernick is a baller with a rifle.

He really came across as a really tough dude and showed a lot of leadership too. From all his interviews and what not he came across a lot "smarter" and i would have guessed a higher score then some of the other QBs on that list. Also im really starting to like Tyrod Taylor after last night. Although his "numbers" suck: ??? - 41 -57.4% If Taylor wasnt 6'1" i feel like he would be a top 5 prospect. FRPLG 04-20-2011, 10:11 AM I am somewhat smitten with Dalton. I wouldn't shake a stick at Ponder either although I don't know that he is a franchise guy in the long run. More of a Brad Johnson type which is better than we've had since...well...Brad Johnson. SBXVII 04-20-2011, 10:31 AM If there was a score for toughness, Locker would be at the top of the list ....with his broken shoulder/collerbone. right? Oh sorry your talking about playing through pain not getting injured. NC_Skins 04-20-2011, 10:35 AM Yeah i really gained a lot of respect for Locker last night. Tyrod Taylor is a poor man's version of Pat White. He's definitely not as good as White was in college, and he's not a NFL type of QB. Maybe he can follow in the footsteps of Randal El and return punts for a .35/yard average. SBXVII 04-20-2011, 10:36 AM Results for this year's QB class (26 or better on the Wonderlic, 27 or more starts, completion % of at least 60) Ponder 35 - 35 - 61.8% McElroy 43 - 27 - 66.3% Dalton 29 - 50 - 61.7% Gabbert 42 - 29 - 60.9% Locker 20 - 39 - 53.9% Kaepernick 37 - 49 - 58.2% Stanzi 30 - 32 - 59.8% Newton 21 - 14 - 66.1% Mallett 26 - 29 - 57.8% source (http://www.cincyjungle.com/2011/3/17/2056095/quarterback-wonderlic-scores-released-updating-the-26-27-60-formula) So I wonder now if anything will change in regards to their expected draft placements? Usually the media and fans look at stats and watch film for skill level and technique. The coaches and GM's look at that and the wonderlick. They want a smart QB. Oh, and I wonder.... who said we should drop back and look to take a QB in the second round.... hmmm, who could that be.... oh me :) Edit: Ponder or Dalton. Monkeydad 04-20-2011, 10:51 AM I'd take any of the guys listed in green. Ponder and Dalton are the two I like the best. I do not want Locker at all, nor do I want the #10 pick to be used on a QB. Redskin Jim 04-20-2011, 10:51 AM Apparently ole' Jake is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I read an ESPN the mag article where the writer says that when admiring a vaulted ceiling in a waiting room, someone asked Locker how high he thought it was. Jake answered, "30 yards, about 60 feet". Another player there looked at him and said "dude, 30 yards is 90 feet". Lockers response was, "I don't know that stuff, I'm a history major"!!! You said it Lotus... freddyg12 04-20-2011, 11:19 AM I read an ESPN the mag article where the writer says that when admiring a vaulted ceiling in a waiting room, someone asked Locker how high he thought it was. You said it Lotus... That seems a bit unfair. There are probably a lot of history majors/liberal arts students that are very bright, that don't know how many feet are in a yard at that age. The concern would be w/how well he can memorize numbers & variations of plays. Doesn't make him dumb, but he may have to work harder to memorize the playbook.
