So we've had April 19 as our placeholder for the schedule release show for a while (and really it rarely happens that it falls on the day we have the show tentatively scheduled).
As of this morning, it didn't look like it would be released (or so we were told), but late this afternoon we got word from the NFL it will be released tomorrow night.
But anyway, what's interesting to me is it will be released as the same day as another round of mediation takes place. Wouldn't it be something (though perhaps unlikely) if an agreement was announced at the same time?
(And yes I know what Redskins game(s) are tentatively on the schedule for Monday Night Football..but that's for me to know and you to find out)

This is ussually one of my favorite events of the NFL offseason....but I really can't get excited about it this year without knowing if these games will happen
I'm not worried about the season not happening, but the current labor dispute definitely takes away from some of the excitement of the schedule announcement.

I'm not worried about the season not taking place either. What does worry me is players showing up out of shape (guys like Trent Williams who need to be watched closely for the first few years) and rookies making less of an impact due to the fact that they'll have less time to study the playbooks and their reps will be cut due to a lack of OTA's, mini camps, and possibly training camp practices.
The quality of the on field product could really suffer this year if they wait till July or August to hammer out a CBA.

Yeah, about a minute after I hit reply I felt that I should have clarified that statement. Personally I believe that Trent will continue to work hard and progress. I just think it's worth it for the team to take tabs on him from time to time. The slacking concerns were probably overblown on draft day and certainly not at the Andre Smith level, but nevertheless it was one of his red flags on draft day.
In short I probably unfairly singled him out as he's been nothing but top shelf since he got here. I probably should have used Haynesworth as the poster boy.
Luckily for us the culture has changed so much that in looking at the roster I can't really see anyone that is at risk for slacking off besides Albert. Trent was a reach on my part.

Ya I mean I think it will work out for sure, but as someone who plans a trip down every year and schedule day is always when we decide when were going...and even though I think it will happen were not gonna book anything til we know for sure...and if this drags into late august or september, we might not go down for the first time since 03'.
