On the other hand, Quinn has/had a brain tumor
I'd take Quinn though, between the two
How do you say "Too Risky"?

Terpfan76 04-16-2011, 06:32 PM I'd take Quinn in a heartbeat, but would be absolutely fine if we traded down. There's no one player that in my mind, has truly separated himself from the rest of the field, so really the only way we could go wrong is probably taking a qb at 10. This year just doesn't have a Suh, Bradford or Peyton Manning. Mechanix544 04-16-2011, 08:32 PM Agreed. Rak, Quinn, Landry, and a quality NT and we're in business. Dont forget Atogwe and Pro Bowler 'angelo. Starting to get excited........ Defensewins 04-16-2011, 08:38 PM ^...and we need a DE to replace Golsten. He is not a starter but a very good back up. A new LB will be restricted in effectiveness unless the DE can keep blockers off of him. Golston struggles at this. skinsfaninok 04-16-2011, 10:28 PM Quinn keeps moving up as the days go by, we may not get the guy afterall r08kessl 04-16-2011, 10:45 PM I honestly see the brain tumor as a positive. Doctors told him he might never play football again and now he's going to be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft.... that's the kind of guy I want on my football team. That's a guy that loves to play, and has more heart than I think any of us can imagine. And from a medical point of view, I would much rather have someone who had a benign brain tumor that has never come back, than someone with a potentially serious knee injury (one can be worsened from playing football, and the other really can't). Yeah. I agree... Brain tumors are awesome. juskins 04-17-2011, 11:35 AM I honestly see the brain tumor as a positive. The guy is looking for a retirement guaranteed contract guys. He's damaged goods. A brain injury can resurface at anytime during his career. All those who want to select him are getting caught up on his speed and physical statue, not his play making. Go back and look at his college highlights, he is not that impressive. r08kessl 04-17-2011, 02:10 PM The guy is looking for a retirement guaranteed contract guys. He's damaged goods. Go back and look at his college highlights, he is not that impressive. 11 sacks as a true sophomore isn't that impressive? And any injury can resurface, apparently he gets regular MRI's to see if anything is going on. He played two full years of football (and spent a third being ineligible) with no relapse of any type, I'm not saying he's not without risk, what I'm trying to say is that if I had to choose between two injuries I would take the Quinn over a guy who had a potentially serious knee injury. |
