Robert Quinn: Boom or Bust?SmootSmack 04-18-2011, 12:39 AM Magic 8 Ball? That'd be amazing juskins 04-18-2011, 12:50 AM Probably would have served you better to get some of the facts first, or at least listen to what people were trying to tell you throughout this thread Anyhow, I realize he may seem to pose a bit of a higher risk than say something with a bad forearm on his throwing arm, but I'm not sure that's necessarily the case. I'd be ok with him at 10, I know he'll get the best care possible. But, even though I've been predicting he'd be our top choice at 10, he wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. But, like you, I wish them the best. And especially if he's wearing the burgundy and gold That's what I get for relying on others to fill-in the details instead of during my own research. The best thing for the Skins to do in my estimation is to trade down, if they can, and get more picks. Finish rebuilding the OLine at RT and Center. Everyone else here was giving you proper information. All you had to do was listen. cobracai1 04-18-2011, 08:06 AM The reality of brain tumors is that there are many different types and different prognosis. I talked to my colleague who is a neurosurgeon and he thought that with quinn such as with anyone else we are just not sure. The fact that it was benign means a lot less than say a benign tumor somewhere else in the body because of the fact that the brain is limited in space by the skull so any tumor can have a mass effect where in his case was causing a blockage of his cerebrospinal fluid which is why he had the headaches and blackouts. The positive of this is that not only does it seem he hasnt had any more symptoms but he also is getting regular follow up. With this if the tumor does come back then there are options for him. Beyond all of this remember that when an NFL team invests the kind of money they do in players they do their homework for the most part. Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen are professionals who will look into this with many specialists who should have access to all his records before making a decision if he is healthy enough to play. MTK 04-18-2011, 08:57 AM This thread was about as painful as a brain tumor for a while there... wow 53Fan 04-18-2011, 10:27 AM This thread was about as painful as a brain tumor for a while there... wow :laughing2 I'm going to the doctor. I think I may have got one just reading it. SOUL-SKINS 04-18-2011, 12:54 PM This thread was about as painful as a brain tumor for a while there... wow Thank You. NC_Skins 04-18-2011, 01:15 PM This thread was about as painful as a brain tumor for a while there... wow I was thinking the same thing. It's like seeing that guy playing with his cell phone right as he's about to step onto the street with oncoming traffic. You just want to yell out "WATCH OUT", but you know it wouldn't do any good. juskins 04-18-2011, 02:09 PM Everyone else here was giving you proper information. All you had to do was listen. But, the link to the article that pointed out Quinn's medical history was missing in the pages I read in this thread. I did not read this thread from page one to the last page, so please excuse my laziness. How many posters actually read threads from page one to the last page? This is the reason why I questioned Quinn's priorities. After reading the article and realizing that I have egg on my face, I apologized to those that were trying to get through to me. Obviously, the link set me straight. So to get to the essence of the subject matter of this thread, Robert Quinn is not a bust. If he gets drafted at the pick that is being thrown out here by the experts, Robert deserves all the respect that can be bestowed on him. That being said has nothing to do with Skins' selection at the ten spot in this draft. Quinn makes a good case for consideration by whatever team picks him. I just hope, if we can, trade down for more picks. I am not in favor of selecting Quinn at #10. Finish building up the OLine. NC_Skins 04-18-2011, 02:38 PM That'd be amazing Will the Skins ever find or draft a franchise QB? http://www.insidesocal.com/tomhoffarth/magic_8ball_outlook_not_so_good.jpg Foiled again. |
