Speaking of A-Holes (SCP's going to love this) DM5 responds to Bernard Hopkins (the aforementioned A-hole) comments, that quite frankly are almost beyond belief, through everyones favorite agent Fletcher Smith.
Donovan McNabb: Bernard Hopkins' barbs 'are dangerous and irresponsible' - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6535942)
Seriously say what you want about McNabb and his passive aggressive nature but I don't think anyone is going to side with Hopkins on this one.
I agree with the agent's premises. It is a disturbing trend in the "black culture", for lack of a better term.

Yeah I know right? It gives a whole new meaning to black on black crime.

All I know is Darrell Green was HELLA annoying during the whole HOF induction process after he was elected.
His ego is straight up outrageous.
Great football player. Great community contributions guy.
Crazy full of himself.
Funny thing is a while back my friend and I were talking about how "nice guys finish last" to which I believe is completely untrue. If anything I feel that nice guys get the most chances especially in sports.
Basically I said that if you're a talented jerk people will look for any reason to drop you once you loose the talented part while nice people will typically be cut some slack during slumps. Case in point T.O and Randy Moss. Teams love them when things are going right but once things start to get rough they're dropped instantly.
Guys like Kurt Warner and BMW on the other hand get chances for as long as they're able to show up. Obviously part of it has to do with their talent/potential talent but I seriously believe that if Warner and BMW were viewed as divas, teams wouldn't have even gone near them.

LMFAO at the fact that more people chose Alex Smith over VY.
Well that's because when the thread started I hadn't really mentioned the Skins' interest in Young...just wait until I tell them they're once again considering Matt Leinart :) (don't worry, it's not likely to happen)
But anyhow, at the time Alex Smith was probably the more likely option to just be released. And Young was probably a trade. Now it appears that Harbaugh may actually be genuine about bringing Smith back, while Young is halfway here (at no trade cost to us)

Actually in looking at it again Alex Smith over Vince Young, assuming he was even available would be a big mistake. Maybe not LMFAO but certainly LMAO.
For starters the accuracy of both is a push with a slight edge to Young. Both guys seem to be barely 60% throwers. Smith is mobile but Young is probably only behind Vick and Newton when it comes to mobility. Young's arm is elite while Smith has more of a "well he can make all the throws" type arm.
Smith has the edge in book smarts (40 on the Wonderlic) but it doesn't seemed to have helped him much in the NFL. Both QB's have vented in the media about being benched but Young's benching was worse prompting him to take a leave of absence.

In other news the Skins better draft a QB before 2014/2015 :D

There goes the whole "next year's QB class will be better" argument for 2014-2015.

I know right? Now I have only 3 or 4 more years of Rookie QB martyrdom/advocacy. It's alright though Beck is going to win us a couple of Super Bowls so we'll just repeat the process with Andy Dalton when we trade for him with some random camp body that we'll be able to resign. Of course our QB situation will still be shaky with Beck retiring to do missionary work so we'll bring in Locker to compete with Dalton.

There are a lot of exaggerations in this story about McNabb and about Snyder. Being made a much bigger deal than it needs to be. But I guess that's what happens with this lockout.
As for Green, I guess maybe I'll dig up some old posts
I took the liberty to have a little fun with it :) we good
