F that. when Beck's done here people will be calling Kurt Warner "John Beck lite."

He's gotta lead the #1 passing attack the league and win the Super Bowl like...this season. ;)

I can see the headlines now.
John Beck becomes first QB to win 2 Super Bowls in 1 season - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10484)

Steve Spurrier doesnt know his crotch from a cranberry.

Thats because Steve Spurrier transcends existence. He has no need to learn of crotches and cranberries.

Report: McNabb refused to wear a wristband with plays | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/12/report-mcnabb-refused-to-wear-a-wristband-with-plays/)

The second part of the story:

[quote] ""So they're having this power lunch, power dinner at the Super Bowl with Fletcher Smith (McNabb's agent), Bruce Allen, Mike Shanahan and Dan Snyder. At some point, this topic comes up," he said.

"At that point, when Snyder heard that, Snyder apparently went ballistic and said, 'Are you effing kidding me?' Why did I hire you as the head coach? I'm paying you $7 million a year to be the head coach, and you can't get your guy to wear a wristband? Are you serious? If he's on the team next year, you're making him wear the wristband," he said.

Bishop said Shanahan and Snyder then began arguing, and Smith and Allen "didn't know what to do." Again, take this for what you will, but the whole thing is so Redskins if you think about it. [unquote]

I don't believe it, and Snyder better hope the rest of the fan base doesn't believe it because if Danny boy starts trying to take things back to the way they were in 08 and 09 he will have hell to pay.

LMFAO at the fact that more people chose Alex Smith over VY.

LMFAO that anyone thinks VY is worth 2 shats, and ROFLMAO at people who think he's our solution. I didn't want McNabb for many reasons, but McNabb in his old age is still 8 times better then VY both as a player and as a leader. In comparison "character" is everything.

If given a choice I'll take my chances with a second year McNabb knowing more of the plays over VY any day.

I'm staying out of this discussion because my opinion of the Junkies is basically the equivalent of what many people here think of Snyder. And I know the Junkies and have worked with them.

However, I have heard from multiple people similar McNabb stories (I will say sometimes he strikes me as kind of "Darrell Green"-ish; enough people here know what I'm talking about)

According to a insider, he says the bit about Snyder is indeed false. He did however have this to say about McNabb. Maybe Smoot could verify this. (edit: seems he was posting as I wrote this)

DG, unfortunately this information/ leak is 1000000% true. I had heard during the season after the Detroit game this occurred and Mcnabb refused. Kyle and Mike then put Grossman on notice that there could be a situation where he would play against Detroit and as we all know that situation occurred . This situation has been backed up by many sources from various people as well. Players privately complained about mcnabb and how he was performing his duties ( huddle, calling plays right, tempo to the line ect) . Relationship soured quickly and mcnabbs fate was determined very early on his time as a skin.

I didn't make it up DB.....I actually found it in print.

I believe it 100%. Now the big question is was MS chastised or was it a show for the agent so the agent can go back to McNabb and say "I know you thought it a joke that they wanted you to wear the wrist band, but I just witnessed DS yell at MS instructing him that if your going to stay with the team MS better have you wearing the effing wrist band."

"McNabb.... I think we need to look for another team if you won't wear it."

Lol, what did McNabb say to the public recently? It's all up to MS if he comes back? Lol.
