NFL EVP of Football Ops Ray Anderson says league will be aggressive defending "defenseless players", says suspensions are in play.

Interesting options, I think I like the automatic replay on scoring plays.
But, starting at the 25, don't give the offense any more yards for free.

additional notes from various tweets:
Move KO back to 35 (combined with touchback change to 25 would render ST's almost meaningless I think)
Remove all wedge blocking
no re-seeding of playoffs (I am ok with that - win a division get a home game is ok by me)

Isn't the KO at the 30 now? So, they actually want to move it forward? There are enough touchbacks as it is...
I agree with you CR, these rules would ruin special teams -- at least in regards to kickoffs.

Horrible moves with kicking off from the 35 and moving a touchback to the 25.

Randy Moss is lobbying to go back to New England.
He also says his feelings were hurt when he was cut and traded.
What a tool......
Well if they're going to keep preaching player safety, looking to reduce injuries on kickoffs is a way to start.

KO was at the 35 when the Skins were a power, maybe moving back is the key to our resurgence! :)
I think it was the early to mid 90s when it changed to the 30?

Moving the kickoff basically eliminates the return game, one of the most exciting elements of the game. While it will reduce the number of injuries, moving touchbacks up 5 yards isn't going to compensate for the loss of game changing plays.
The more player safety related change is all players on the kickoff team must be within 5 yards of the ball so they aren't getting a 10-15 yard running start before the ball is kicked.

Well if they're going to keep preaching player safety, looking to reduce injuries on kickoffs is a way to start.
But field position is such a critical part of the game. Take that option away on kick offs and you can hurt teams with good kick returners.
