On the amazing play of John Gilchrist UMD just knocked off Duke for the ACC Tournament championship. That breaks a streak of 5 straight for the Blue Devils and Maryland is now projected as a 6 seed in the NCAA Tourney. Fear the Turtle!

I had band practice and had to miss it. Too bad ... UMD must be the hottest team in the country right now. Just in time for a run back to the Final Four! Yesterday's game was un-fuh-believable.

I missed the game and I really wish I hadn't of. I think Maryland has a lot of talent on that team, and if they can keep it together for one more year I think another championship isn't out of the picture. The NCAA tourny is grueling and one of the hardest to predict in all of sports, as far as I'm concerned (Unless you count the ROCK PAPER SCISSOR tournys)

Either way, I'm just glad Maryland beat duke, that makes me happier than anything else. I was actually suprised, pleasently, by both of the wins they had. I really liked Wake Forest going into the tourny to be an upset special in the tourny, but they've fallen off quite a bit.

I had a feeling duke might not do too well in the tourney when they had a close game against UVA but I honestly didn't think Maryland had a chance against duke. I'm pretty sure there r a few maryland faithful on here and I'm not ripping the team, but I don't see how some can believe they have a decent shot at winning the NCAA tourney. I think marylands win over duke showed how strong the ACC is from almost the bottom to the top this year but there r more teams than I can ever really remember having a legit shot at the final four and I just don't think Maryland really has the size and depth to go all the way but weirder things have happened. I dont know what the seedings r but I see the final four being Oklahoma State, Pitt., Duke(unfortunately), and Kentucky.
