Awesome signing. Not Fletcher level but only a notch or two below it. We now have our best safety group since 2007.

Fills a need. We simply didn't have a starting caliber cover safety on the roster, and it was hurting us seriously.

Atogwe is very, very overrated as a player, but it is the proper use of free agency to plug holes in ones scheme. And one of the reasons we couldn't cover the pass is because of abysmal coverage at the safety levels. If Atogwe can provide mere adequacy (and I still need to see the contract numbers), the addition will be well worth it.

This is from the wikipedia. I just about spit the coffee on the keyboard =D

Oshiomogho Isaac "O. J." Atogwe (born on June 23, 1981, in Windsor, Ontario[1]) is a Canadian American football safety who is currently being overpaid to play for the Daniel Snyder doomed Washington Redskins. Atogwe was drafted out of Stanford University in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He is of Nigerian descent.

Of course this is a great signing since Atogwe and I share the same birthday! Seriously, I like the signing. Solid player. I just hope we didn't overpay for him.

Well played by the Redskins. A guy they nearly traded for, on multiple occassions, last year. They get him now and give up nothing but some cash

As I've heard it Landry's not too happy. But I don't think it's so much he's upset with Atogwe, just that it means a demotion or a pink slip for his friend Moore

Am I missing something? what happened to Landry?
