When we signed Fletcher he was already 31, does anyone regret making that move now?? mlmpetert 03-08-2011, 04:29 PM I know that signing a older player while we are not in contention take the spot away from a younger player that could be valuable a few years down the road when hopefully we are in contention, but I think you have to stay relevant while rebuilding youre team otherwise good players wont want to come here, and if they do it will be solely for the money. We didn’t give up any draft picks, we didn’t over pay, this is a great signing. It probably spells farewell to Macho Harris, but we were probably likely to bring in a lower quality vet anyways.
