I don't give a **** who has to pass what. I work for the government but as a contractor which means if they shut down I don't get paid. My wife does becuase she's a federal employee but ol' papa bear get's zilch!
I hope they get this thing together and fast because this is bullshit !

It's not automatic. Congress has to pass legislation after the fact to pay employees missed pay while on furlough. They've always done it in the past, but it's not a given.

Doesn't matter; she'll get something which I'm happy for but this needs to be resolved. This game that politicians play pisses me off. Rich ass people who are out to keep other rich ass people happy while kicking me in the ass. Blows me. F'n blows me.

maybe they could all pledge to set their salary at $1 for a year if a budget deal isn't reached by the next extension?

This is not about bickering which we see all the time. Its about the new young bucks that ran on the promise to cut spending and the others that want to go status quo.
