I think the title of the article is a bit of a hyperbole, but this is a serious look at a problem that is a real one and not a concocted one.
This article is very well written and it is from a top-shelf publication.

To hear him speak, it sounds like the more that is known about the dangers of football, the less likely the sport can continue as is. He mentioned guys like Andre Waters, who he thinks was depressed from the symptoms of several concussions, and then killed himself. And that was before this latest tragedy w/DAve Duerson.

Yeah the scary part is what we know right now regarding head injuries and their long term impact is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
