Oh my! or Ike Taylor. But yeah. Dirtbag59 05-21-2011, 05:42 PM Skins won't trade him to Philly I seriously doubt they can trade him to anybody with his contract. I mean sure teams are off the hook for about $40 or $50 million, but $6 or $7 million a year is a lot for a guy as flaky as Haynesworth. On top of that he's likely coming in with a 4 game suspension. He has virtually 0 trade value. 6. DT Albert Haynesworth to Philadelphia The Eagles got away with trading Donovan McNabb to the Redskins. Can the Redskins do the same if they move Haynesworth within the division? Mike Shanahan can't have Haynesworth back because the Redskins run a 3-4 and Haynesworth simply doesn't fit. There are 18 4-3 teams in the league, but many can't afford Haynesworth. The Eagles can, and he would be an incredible fit along the Eagles' four-man line. Dirtbag59 05-22-2011, 02:56 AM Also starting to think we should try to resign Brown, or even bring in Claboo or Trueblood before looking at Harris for the RT job. I mean sure he's younger but whats the point of bringing in a younger player if he's hurt almost half the time? Brown in spite of his injury troubles still played in 15 games this past year which is close to the 19 Harris has played in the last 2 years. Given part of his inactivity last year came when McDaniels thought that Beadles at RT was better then a recently recovered Harris for a couple of weeks but still the bottom line is we could easily end up starting Heyer for 8 games next year with Harris. SmootSmack 05-22-2011, 08:20 PM Totally random...but I had no idea OJ Atogwe is Mike Singletary's son-in-law skinsfaninok 05-22-2011, 08:32 PM Totally random...but I had no idea OJ Atogwe is Mike Singletary's son-in-law Yeah saw that when they played last year. Dirtbag59 05-22-2011, 08:37 PM If they are smart they would trade him for a 5th, 6th, or a 7th to Denver who is in DESPERATE need of 4-3 DTs. What team wouldn't take him for a 7th rounder? I think Denver is more in rebuilding mode. They're not worried about putting together a team to make a serious run this year as much as they are getting young guys reps. If they were serious then I could see them possibly making an offer for Haynesworth but I highly doubt that they're thinking "man if we just had a DT we could get to the playoffs." A team on the cusp though like Philly or even New York is possibly chomping at the bit waiting for him to get released with the promise of a 4-3 gap penetration defense, championship runs, and a chance to face the Redskins twice a year. Tennessee is also a likely destination as thats where he's most comfortable. Philly though really believes they're on the verge, rightfully so, and have struggled with defense since Johnson passed away. So they could be willing to take on another talented head case since their last talented head case almost helped them win a Super Bowl. Dirtbag59 05-22-2011, 09:29 PM Philly could go all in this year. Still I really hope they improve the D. I'm chomping at the bit to get revenge for the Monday Night beat down. Eagles may be eager to talk to Plaxico Burress | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/22/eagles-may-be-eager-to-talk-to-plaxico-burress/) SirClintonPortis 05-22-2011, 09:36 PM Philly could go all in this year. Eagles may be eager to talk to Plaxico Burress | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/22/eagles-may-be-eager-to-talk-to-plaxico-burress/) I suppose they just need a tall dude for the goal line offense. Jump balls all day. :D |
