The initial reports made it sound like no big deal at all. I should have known better, this franchise has horrible luck!

Sounds like this could impact him long-term?

No real long term complications so he should be doing the John Wall dance in a few weeks...

No more than any other team. Even New England, who is run like a prison, hits the news sometimes too. Their scandals are usually bigger in impact.

We are just saturated by Skins stories because we follow the team and live in the media market that loves to hate them.

Honestly, until Haynesworth's PMS started this week and he started touching everyone...our scandals are mild, related to players ON-FIELD performance or lack of. We usually stay clear of the criminals that makes up the rosters of Dallas, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and the Jets. Our issues are almost always salary or performance-related, not criminal offenses. Overall, we run one of the classier franchises in the league. No rapists, no animal killers, no accomplices to murder, no DUI manslaughterers, no illegal gun-toting morons and until this week, no one with happy hands.

Looks like Banks did end up having a collapsed lung. He's out of the hospital though.

No link yet. Just broke on NBC 4.

Redskins Insider - Brandon Banks moved to different hospital (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/brandon-banks-moved-to-differe.html)
Washington Redskins kick/punt returner Brandon Banks has been transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, where he will receive additional care for a collapsed lung, his agent said in a statement released by the team Wednesday evening.

"The knife nicked his lung creating a pneunomothorax condition. He still has a chest tube inserted and it will remain until the wound heals and the lung remains inflated.

Let's not forget Tony Peters.

FWIW I had the same injury in 1979. Mine was caused by a dump truck not a knife. However it is a painful injury and he will have a constant reminder for a while.
