Guy just got released from a team worst then ours? Enough said.
The Browns are moving to a 4-3 defense and probably want to get players that fit the scheme (what a concept!).
The only reason this is encouraging is that I trust Shanny will give him the Fat Al treatment if he doesn't step up. I really thought Anthony Bryant was impressive in the last couple of games & he looked like starting material. Notice the difference in the D over those games. Let Kemo go, but Don't treat Bryant like Ryan Clark!
You mean create another circus-like atmosphere in an dick-swinging contest? No thanks. I would hope that they would sign him to a low-risk deal, and cut him if he doesn't work out.
I do hope that Rogers could be a good stop-gap to see if Bryant continues to play well or to get a rookie developed.
Although, aren't teams unable to sign free agents due to no CBA?

When motivated the guy can dominate.
Hmmm, who does that sound like?

You are right about the context of Rogers' release.
As said elsewhere, those who think of him as dominant perhaps overlook that he was not very good last year, even leaving aside his injuries. IMO Kenyon Coleman, who plays 3-4 DE, would be the better ex-Brown to get.
As for your question, the recently cut Browns became FA's by being cut, not from having lapsed contracts and service years changed by the end of the league year. They also have enough service time to be UFA's. Therefore anyone can sign them now, CBA or not.

Sounds familiar...

With the D we had last year and AL. I would take him so he can redeem himself from last year adding him here wont hurt. Shanny doesnt give the starting spot so he would have to prove himself all year.

I mean that Shanny has set the bar on how he expects his players, including vets, to practice & play. Rogers would know he's not coming here to loaf & collect one of danny's big checks.

I agree with Matty
Sounding familiar has nothing to do with this guy. The contract is different and he wants to play at the NT. AL was just a big spoiled kid that refused communication and so on and so on.......
