I have no problem with bringing in Rogers, although I am dubious about his future contributions.
But we should be bringing in Kenyon Coleman, too. He is a more likely future contributor.Would be a wise pickup.
He's pretty much just Vonnie Holliday, but yeah, Holliday was one of our better DLinemen last yaer.

Actually, AH is pretty cheap at this point. I say we sign Rogers, make AH a full-time DE, and be happy.
No, that makes too much sense.

To me it makes no sense to sign older vets on a team that isn't good and needs to get younger. It has nothing to do with the money. He makes sense for a team like Houston or maybe even Dallas. I'd just sign free agents that don't get drafted and see who sticks.
I'm not sure it's about just getting younger. I think it's more about getting better quality players in. Our OL and DL has been hogwash for years. Younger almost naturally means healthier but as we can see it didn't help out the WR's when the team drafted Kelly.
If the dude is healthy, and can share the duties say with Bryant for a year or two since AH most likely will be gone and Kemo didn't live up to his billing then I'd say get him. Then either next yr or the yr after the team can go after a NT when there might be one worth going after. I keep hearing how this yrs draft really doesn't have a bonified NT to be worth reaching for and basically they are not NT's and would have to be converted.

Sandtrap,
And did the judge give him permission to leave the state of Ohio? There is a little matter of Rogers carrying a loaded handgun through security at Clevelands Int'l Airport.
I'm betting the judge incorporated that he could leave the state for work purposes and most likely installed the wording that he would have to notify his probation officer prior to leaving. As long as he does those things he's safe. If he gets a new job in a new state I'm sure he can transfer his probation to whereever he goes.

Yes lets just sign Shaun Rogers to a contract, thats the missing piece we need to this team! That'll put us in the super bowl! (being completely sarcastic and a smart-ass btw)

No one here is going to sit here and tell me Kemo is better than Shaun Rodgers. That being said, sign him. He will have a small contract that won't matter if he doesn't have anything left. To all the people saying he is old, washed up, this isn't helping us get younger, this isn't the way to rebuild a team.... We have too many holes to fill in one offseason. He won't be a long term solution, just a stop gap. Get the sand out of your vajayjays.
