Put a winning product on the field, and that's caring enough.

Well in all fairness to Napoleon that story was kind of blown up by the media. The women that was losing her home was going to lose it anyway, regardless of whether or not they Redskins sued her.

Dont let the facts get in the way.

As for Leonsis, much different thing to own the Caps, Wizards, and Mystics vs Redskins, he's got issues with the Washington Post as well, and has said he will be less fan friendly and accesible moving forward bc too many fans are basically petty assholes.

His approach is much different than any owner I've ever known in any sport. I wonder how long he'll be willing to continue directly indulging his critics.

So I guess the lawsuit is official. I get Snyder's frustration and McKenna did hit below the belt a couple of times. Still, if it were me I would have just ignored McKenna's claims. Just focus on the team. What McKenna and some fans think? Who cares

I'll agree with you, there is also the question of where this article was placed. What I'm referring to is I thought the WP had an "Opinion" section that may come out on Sundays. Clearly this is a biased opinionated article which would be perfect for that section and readers. If the editors had it placed in the everyday "Sports" section would be wrong.

I'm just guessing it was in the "Sports" section and the thought was to stir the pot and get more readers and again I'll say bad judgement on the editors.

Uhhh... It wasn't published anywhere in the Washington Post - - Sunday or weekday, Sports section or Opinion section. It was published in City Paper.

If the lawsuit is really ON, then we will see just how many of the "A to Z" comments can be shown to be true or false. If both sides have the chops to let this get to open court - - public record with people testifying under oath about all the allegations in that article - -, everyone will know a lot more about Danny Boy and about at least one of the reporters who covers him and the Redskins in the Washington area.

My hunch is that neither side wants that open court scenario with people testifying under oath to happen...

I smell a legalistic game of "chicken" here...

Who on thewarpath is an Andyman? I have my suspicions, but I'm afraid to blow the whistle.....

Andyman: Fake name widely believed to be used by top Redskins officials to post anti-media rants on fan message boards. In 2005, Washington City Paper reported that Karl Swanson, Snyder’s longtime PR chief, had registered on sportsjournalists.com, a website where Andyman often sniped at The Washington Post. Andyman, which could be Pig Latin for Danny M (Snyder’s first name, middle initial) all but disappeared after the report.

There was indeed a person on sportsjournalists.com who used the screen name "Andyman" back in the day. And it is true that he/she routinely took exception to WaPo articles critical of the Redskins and to various other media outlets. He/She has not posted at sportsjournalists.com for quite a while now. Thems are facts.

I have no idea who "Andyman" was then or if he/she continues to lurk there or if he/she has a new screen name there. Frankly, nor do I care...

As to The Warpath, I think there are plenty of fans here who are so emotionally tied to the team that they take any criticism of the team by any media outlet as unfounded, biased, mean-spirited and purposeful. Perhaps one of the posters here is a Redskins' employee "in disguise" - - but it just isn't possible that all the media-bashers here are all employed in their day jobs in Ashburn, VA.

Not that much different. The guy has something Snyder doesn't. People skills. Snyder comes across as a 100% thin skinned dick to his customers. For someone that made a boat load of $ in marketing, you'd think he'd have better people skills instead of always hiding behind people. Now he's got lawyers trying to get some nobody at the freakin City Paper fired? I'd maybe understand if it was The Post or ESPN, or something like that. But the City Paper?? He looks like a baby crying without it's milk bottle.
