It is about time for CP to go. He did some good things and bad but over all i would say it was good. I will always remember his first play for us man I thought for sure after that play we would go to the big game.

I remember when Mark Brunell did the same thing, and it was only like 3 weeks after MB put his home up for sale, he was gone.
Portis during his best (2004, 2005) gave us what redskins football was all about. But sadly, the back part of his career (2006- now) showed all of what was wrong in Washington. No discipline, no committment, etc. before Mike Shanahan showed up.
Best of luck to Portis. I wonder what team he will sign with. I imagine he will be a backup at his age and with his injury concerns.

That's sad to me. CP has been more of a pain in the ass the last couple years than his play on the field was worth, but he seemed to get his act together this year under Shanny. I would love to see him stay as a 3rd down back, he is still as good as any in the nfl at blitz pickups.
If he's cut, I could see him in NE unless they use some of their many picks on RBs. They love to add vets that can fill in a limited role & CP could do that.

Didnt we also give up a second rounder in that deal?

Now we have a greater draft need at another position. Ugh.
Plus, as freddy indicated, we've got big blocking shoes to fill.
I wonder, who would buy a multimillion dollar house with a stripper pole?

I'm sorry but why would anyone buy one without a stripper pole?

Yup. It was always the extra draft pick that irked me about that deal.

I want Portis back and I want him in the starting line up. If he goes down, Torain can step in.
